TMNT is arguably more popular now than it has ever been.

On what planet?!?

I highly disagree with on you. I don't see any TMNT amusements at theme parks, or TMNT dominating chain restaurants like they did with Pizza Hut back in the day.

I see a small toy catalog, NOTHING compared to the catalog they had from 89-94. The clothing line and video games are also nowhere NEAR as huge as it was back then as well!

As someone who grew up in that era, who had all the comics, toys, clothes, and games, I'd say you're wrong. (Trust me, I was a huge fan of the old school Turtles, and I've got the tatts to prove it! lol)

It's a damn shame what they've done to the brand. It's so awful, from the cartoons to the video games. To top it off, now Michael "I love to destroy classic movie series" Bay is about to release his abortion of a version. I can already guarantee it's going to be a joke. As soon as he said "Aliens" when he first talked about it in an interview, we all already knew. The protest from fans has been endless.

It's bad enough he pissed all over Freddy Keuegar, but now he's messin with my Turtles?!? The guy just needs to be imprisoned somewhere so he can't make any more terrible remakes.

What's wrong with the 90's Addams Family movies?

I was never an Addams fan, but I always found those movies entertaining. I love Christopher Lloyd in almost anything he's been in.

I'm not sure how any Addams Family fan can hate the first one?!? I loved the first film, the second one was kinda lame. I will say though, that was Raul Julia's best performance in my opinion. The dude was just born for that role. If they ever do a legitimate remake, I hope they cast Javier Bardem. I think he'd be a great Gomez.

(As for Tim Burton, well, he hasn't done anything great since "Batman Returns", and his endless obsession with Johnny Depp is beyond tiring. I'm convinced he wants to diddle the man.)

Beyond that, I was never a fan of the TV show. It just didn't do anything for me.

I will say, I remember the cereal they had. It wasn't as horrible as Batman, but it wasn't great. I think I still have one of the toys around here that came with it. It was a "Thing" mini flashlight. lol

The 90's cartoon was ok, as well. Again, nothing special.

As for Lloyd, I almost agree with you. I love just about everything he's done except for "Clue" and "Suburban Commando" (With Hulk Hogan. lol). I thought "The Dream Team" was funny as hell!

I grew up watching the TV show on reruns and still love it. Even have the DVDs. I liked the first movie and still watch it every Halloween when they run it like crazy. The second movie wasn't as good, other than the play the kids put on at camp. And I don't find the comic strip all that funny. I'm sure I'll eventually see this new movie version when it comes out, but my expectations are not very high. The pinball machine is still probably my favorite of all time.
