El Dorado looks busy because it does not have shadows on the playfield. This will make everything a big clutter as there is no differentiation from the elements.

Gorgar, this sounds just like my experience with Tee'd Off was on the original Xbox. I did not like it. But the TPA version improved enough on the previous version to make it enjoyable. I've played CBW in arcades-The MS version didn't do it any justice. Depending on how much FarSight improves on the older CBW simulation, you just might like it. We'll see how it turns out....

temporary williams/bally license renovation problems as FS said

I know this is the case but I thought they would mix in a Stern or two to break it up. I had myself convinced this was going to be Sharkey's Shootout.
I'm not upset though. El Dorado is a classic layout that I enjoy. It will get most of my play. CBW is just a bonus for me. And to be honest the big cue ball is a fun gimmick IMO.

Whats this, whats happened???

In the latest Bobby interview he stated that the reason for all the Gottlieb stuff lately was because they had to renegotiate for more Bally/Williams tables.

Who really knows what that means, but we do know that they had a set number of B/W games under the old agreement now they will be able to do many more.

I agree with Kolchak the fact we had 0 modern Sterns this season was a missed opportunity. Sharkey's Shootout, High Roller Casino, Monopoly, or RollerCoaster Tycoon would have been great pickups and offset the Gottlieb/Premier fatigue but it is what it is.

I thought emulation was the issue? Like, they could emulate SAM (the newer one) but not Whitestar (the older one). Or maybe they could emulate the older one but not the newer one. I have no idea.

older one not newer and they doubt a PS4 could run it, but even if it could theyre not going to make stern tables that will only run on next gen consoles or high end pc's and loose thier bread N butter market mobiles. Once again Screwd by mobiles.

They can emulate Whitestar - RBION is a Whitestar game. S.A.M.emulation is out of the question presently due to technological constraints in mobile processing power.

not just mobiles what about lower / mid range PCs that can't cut it ? Not everyone can run out and upgrade hardware at once.

Wow, Cue Ball Wizard looks really good! Looks like a quality step up, back to the look of the first few table packs.

Also, I still don't get why SAM simulation would have to go through emulation, when they should be able to get the source directly from Stern.

I love the artwork on El Dorado. Reminds me of old adventure comics.

Very likely. Only newer have it.

Problem of cbw are the lucky awards. With a pro mode they could be inactivated.

Didn't both tables have pro features in the F2K/GN packs? GN didn't have an operator's menu but it had pro hints and table exploration.
