Hi Tom,

Thanks for answering my previous questions.

Do you know if the PS4 will get a portrait mode?

I also have a bizzare question to ask. Would it be difficult to implement a coop mode into the game, player 1 left flipper, player 2 right flipper, using 2 seperate controlers?

Thanks in advance.

Why are you guys removing individual table purchases?

That's really obnoxious and you aren't doing yourselves any favors.

Also, why don't you guys add TATE mode to consoles? Lots of people want this option.

Finally, what's going on with the PS3 and Vita versions? Those cost $10, there's no free version.

It's funny. The other day I was talking with the Switch guy, and he said it wouldn't be too crazy to add a portrait mode to the PS4 if we ever decided to. If that's a thing fans want on the PS4, I definitely wouldn't be against it. Question though: how would you play it in portrait mode in regards to your TV? Do you have a wall mounted swivel for your TV or something like that?

TV Wall mounts is pretty common today..

You're exactly right about the packs being structured the same as the Switch.

As for BH and WN, I would assume that would be the case, but I don't think we've discussed pricing or packaging those two tables since all the WMS stuff has gone down.

There isn't currently for the PS4, as I was really pushing it for time in regards to just what I was handling at the time. In regards to cross buy support, I would definitely like to do something like that. The only thing would be it would be something like, if you own all of the tables in that Stern Pack in SPA, then you get that Pack in TPA. In regards to Flight 2000 not being in SPA, we would give the Stern Pack 1 to you if you owned all of the other tables in Stern Pack 1 in SPA.

WMS tables will not be included in the future tournaments from now on from what I currently know.

As for the website, sometime in the near future the website will be updated with the PS4 tournament results. I'm uncertain of a date, but I will keep everyone updated on that.

As Pinballwiz45b brought up the table packs being the same as the Switch, here is the layout of our new 8 table packs.

Gottlieb Pack 1 ($9.99)
-Frank Thomas’ Big Hurt
-Gladiators
-Haunted House
-Victory
-Genie
-Lights...Camera...Action!

Gottlieb Pack 2 ($9.99)
-Wipeout
-Rescue 911
-Bone Busters
-Black Hole
-El Dorado City of Gold
-Goin Nuts

Gottlieb Pack 3 ($8.99)
-Teed Off (DMD)
-Cue Ball Wizard (DMD)
-Class of 1812
-Cactus Jacks
-TX-Sector

Gottlieb EM Pack ($8.99)
-Big Shot
-Centigrade 37
-Central Park
-El Dorado
-Jacks Open

Stern Pack 1 ($19.99)
-Frankenstein - New free table
-Flight 2000
-Ripleys
-Starship Troopers
-Star Trek Vengeance Premium
-AC/DC Premium

Stern Pack 2 ($19.99)
-High Roller Casino
-Last Action Hero
-Harley
-Phantom of the Opera
-Mustang Premium
-Ghostbusters Premium

Alvin G Pack ($7.99)
-Al's Garage Band Goes on a World Tour
-Pistol Poker

Doctor Who Master of Time ($4.99)

We've also done something very similar with our ball packs.

EDIT: I forgot to mention this, but Frankenstein is now the new free table in TPA just like it is in SPA.

As someone who does not own any of the tables, better deal to buy all 7 seasons ($210 USD) or to buy all the Williams/Bally individually (or when in pairs) and the ones remaining in the list above (looks like $91, also includes some extra Stern tables but might miss out on TOTAN this way?)

Pretty close to even money wise?

Well, if we do the math, you'll end up purchasing Seasons anyway. They're already discounted as is. Seasons 1 and 2 tables bundled in 2-packs can't be purchased individually, so you can't just get Big Shot or Harley Davidson without getting its partner. EM pack of Season 5 is included.

Season 1 has no tables with lone Gottlieb/Stern games. Out of luck for that. Get the Season.

Season 2 has 4 packs with lone Gottlieb/Stern games, leaving 6 packs with Williams and Bally games, $30 minimum. Get the Season.

Season 3 has 2 tables. 8 B/W games = $40 min. Get the Season.

Season 4 has 2 tables. 8 B/W games = $40 min. Get the Season.

Season 5 has 3 packs with lone Gottlieb/Stern games, not counting Frankenstein as the free game of SPA. 6 B/W packs = $30. Get the Season.

Season 6 has 4 B/W games = $20, and all the rest, Gottliebs + DW:MoT. I'd still get the Season.

Season 7 has 7 B/W games = $35. Get the Season.

TL;DR: Get the Seasons, since they're all cheaper to start with.

Ok, thanks for this, makes sense. Was hoping maybe I did not have to part with $200 tomorrow...

I have my PS4 hooked up to a monitor, it doesn't have an arm, but I'd get one for it if portrait mode was available.

I also have a wall mounted tv, but I think i'd rather have it set up like a virtual cabinet, having looked at pictures of other peoples set ups online.

You say that there are no more individual table sales. Ok, I own all 7 table packs, all are pro versions, and I'd like to buy the 3 new tables that you announced. You're telling me that the only way I can buy them is to re-purchase 9 tables that I already own just to get the three new tables?

Funny you should mention that, actually, because you'd end up with 2 copies of Stern tables doing that. Including Ghostbusters. Looking in:

Stern Pack 1 ($19.99)
-Flight 2000
-Ripleys
-Starship Troopers
-Star Trek Vengeance Premium
-AC/DC Premium

Stern Pack 2 ($19.99)
-High Roller Casino
-Last Action Hero
-Harley
-Phantom of the Opera
-Mustang Premium
-Ghostbusters Premium

Don't worry about Stern Pack 1, since Star Trek and AC/DC are $20 combined, anyway.

I'd worry about Stern Pack 2, if you have Season 7. @Farsight, I'm calling you out for help on this one. Mustang must be standalone if you have Ghostbusters from Season 7. I'd recommend making an option for this.

EDIT: Should SPA/TPA be cross-buy, Mustang is standalone on SPA. Regardless, this should also be an option on TPA, for Mustang, as said above.

All I can say is that Pinball Arcade is my most treasured collection on the PS4 and I will continue to buy all of everything you guys release for it.

Couple things I'm wondering if they'll get fixed in this next update.......

Will the sped up sound in Scared Stiff be fixed?

Will the sound in Black Knight be fixed so it doesn't cut out and go mostly silent until you reboot PBA? It happens almost every time I play it. Only completely exiting PBA and restarting fixes it, but it will just do it again.

This one is less important to me, but after playing Centaur a few successive times, it will show your score as 0 on the pop-up score screen.

So with the new update tomorrow cross buy won't be supported but will eventually?

You said how wms tables won't be in any more tournaments.. is that farsights choice?

I initially thought the same thing, but you know what? This is pretty simple math. If you had been able to buy the tables individually it would have cost you 300 buckazoids. Also, at the risk of sounding like a jerk, a lot of these tables are the best tables of all time that are going away.

I was fortunate to be able to buy it because of an unemployment check coming in. Plus if you buy all 7 seasons, you only need $40 to complete your collection at this time. Maybe Farsight will have some insight rather than charging us $20 for one new table (Mustang Premium) and let you have a one-time out on that.

out of the 3 tables being added, only 1 of them wasn't made by a pedophile who raped his 13 year old niece for 7 years :/ yay more creepy tables that make me sick to my stomach to play.

will we ever see a pro enhanced version for ps4?

edit: oops i read it wrong it's just Mustang being added that was made by Trudeau. At least after they take away the williams/bally farsight will only be profiting off 4 tables made by a child molester (Victory, TX-Sector, Ghostbusters, Mustang).

Once they take away all the good tables PBA will be 13.793103448275861% pedophile tables

Yeah, good points. On the other hand, I am sure there will be sales on the new packs to lower the costs. Still cheaper to go the existing packs way.

Agree with the others it is unfortunate you can’t get Mustang, AC/DC, separately.

Also agreeing that it would be nice if there was some way for people who already own the first 95 tables to buy Mustang, AC/DC and Star Trek in a pack together or at a pro-rated price, or something other than $40 for 3 tables.

The way it sounds, even if PS4 gets SPA/TPA cross buy added, you'll still have to own entire SPA packs to get the tables in TPA, so that doesn't even help. It'd still be $40 spent in SPA to get them in TPA.

Simply putting the two Stern table packs on sale for a week would resolve the problem for most of us.
