I realize us iOS people are high jacking this thread but I just had to say Thanks for the Bigfoot jackpot tip in Rbion. Hadn't caught on to this before and just put up 153M for temporary first place(I'm sure Gus will crush this by Friday).

I had to give it another spin after that comment Crooker :) I got 190M, but North America was one of my worst continents, only Antarctica was worse I think. Tried to make it work, but after building up the jackpot for a while I proceeded to drain a ball without collecting any. Running Australia during double scoring got me loads though, could probably get well over 200M on that. I see how NA is the way to insane 400M scores, but I think I'm done for this time. Maybe I'll go for a few more Safe cracker tokens later... Damn that wizard goal.

I'd chip in to see Tarek compete as well. For the tpa tourneys I don't think it was ever any question if he will win, but winning all 8 tables could be a challenge even for him.

The 800.00 in bronze looks save and I think it's enough for this tournament. There are a few higher gold scores: RBIoN (very good), PZone and GoinNuts. And a strong 6.8B ToM in the PSN group. I can spend the last hours to try for an all over 800.00 score with a lot of work. No. It's weekend now. Why should I top gold scores in bronze? We will continue in the next tournament. Thanks all. I hope the next tournament tables will be different, GoinNuts, Centaur and PZone are not the best selections. Maybe one more attempt later this evening, the last... :)

Yeah there's no point in going for 800 really, except maybe to be safe from getting sniped at the end.

No change in Silver from the last update apart from a new #1 of 14.8M on Centaur (my effort from last night).

So I think that will be goodnight from me, until next time :D

Thanks, everyone, for the updates! Here's one from PC Gold, with 45 min to go. Almost no changes, just karl moving up a spot. I'm done, been trying to up a score, pushed Diner ahead one spot, gotta mow the lawn. Curious if anything happens in the last hour.

iOS tourney is over with Gus crushing everyone as usual in the gold division(by about 50 points). I dropped to a disappointing 6th. Out of the top 5 for the first time in 7 tourneys. Really great scores this time round. No suspect scores. I'm with Tarek though. Just couldn't get into Centaur,Goin Nuts or PZ as tournament tables. Maybe next month we just have a combined tournament forum for all platforms. I enjoy following all the the other platforms and divisions as does invitro I do believe. Congrats to all the winners and all those promoted up. See ya in the next one!!!

Time for a revenge game of PZ. That's the one that gave me the most trouble today. I was right behind you Crooker at 7th. First one I played this time around was ToM. Ended up getting 4.5b or so the first try. Didn't come back to that til today because it dropped down to #18 or so. Ended up getting 5.4b. (Which is weird because I never thought I'd have to revisit it) Upped my Goin nuts today too. Diner was giving me a really hard time, but hs2 is the one I played the most (no big surprise). Just got lucky that I put up some good scores right from the get. Yeah, this was a fun tourney. Makes it more fun to hear from you guys. Coming in #1 is obviously the goal, but my goal from now on is to at least come in 6 or 7.

Yes, Ripley's is all about North America. The Bigfoot jackpot raises by 100k for every continent scoop shot, to a max of 2M. So grind that first (I'll let you figure out how) up to near 2M, then start shooting jackpots. Keep Bigfoot going long enough for 40M worth of jackpots, then recollect that via continent tours three times at 2x, and you're most of the way to 400M. Skip everything else (Australia is worth playing since you can't end it early) and drain out of all other multiballs, only Bigfoot and continent tours can go fast enough.

I've translated this strategie to a normal game and was surprised. The first Stern Pinball that I really like. A Lawlor game with Stern label. ;)

You play any real pinball? I realise that digital pinball is your thing, but there are a ton of great Sterns out there. (That aren't licenced). I'm sure you know that but I'm just curious if you ever play real pinball. You could crush the competition. Someone mentioned above that we need to get you hooked up with PAPA. Any thoughts on that?

Grats to everyone that advanced or placed well, it was a good tournament with some cool tables :) I was most happy about my only game on ToM, scoring 5.7M which I thought would be impossible to beat, but there were a few more scores like that later in the week. Well played guys. It's pretty much always the usual suspects in mobile gold top 10, but a couple of new (to me at least) names that I think we will see a lot more from, e.g. niliang (Neil Young?) and tiotbellot.

Extra congrats to Toolinit for becoming the new #1 on the All-time list. Dylan_h seems to be lying low for the time being.

Goin Nuts ain't that fun, and it doesn't award extraballs when on ball 3 it seems. Weird. Centaur can be a little buggy, but all in all the tables worked out pretty good this time around I think.

Darn. I had no time to play during the week. I sucked at diner, which I played like 5 min before that tourney. The rest was OKish.
So I stay in bronze this time.
Hope the pros are all gone now and I have a better chance next time.

Right there with ya. The scary part is if it follows the pattern that happened when the PSN tourney first started going, Bronze level frequently had higher scores than Gold. Guess we'll have to see.

I suppose you would expect Bronze > Gold in the first months of a platform. But it strongly depends on what platform the very best players are on, and when/if they choose to play. I'd be very surprised if any division beat this month's PC Bronze scores with Tarek, and same for next month's PC Silver if Tarek plays then.

I really hope the website does get tourney data, so we can make these comparisons without relying on the kind-hearted posters in these threads :)!

My last serious real pinball game was 10 years ago on a Stern Sopranos table. It's really hard to find pinballs in Germany. In my town there is (or was?) only one place with three pinballs, all Sterns from the last years. From time to time I've played a few games. When I compare these pinballs with earlier WMS games the rulesets are not so interesting, the Sound and DMD Animations aren't that great and the artwork looks like mainstream.

Maybe I had to give Stern tables another chance like RBIoN in TPA. I've never played the real table and really like it after a few games now. Finished a long game today with 32B. Last 12B with one ball only, #4 if the first three places are legit.

For a real pinball tournament I had to train at least three months with different real pinballs. I know that the current IFPA german top player has 80 pinballs in his basement. No problem under this conditions. I haven't a basement. :(

I did almost miss the tournament, but had the opportunity to play for about three hours on the last day. Non of my games did actually extend to 20 minutes, but I am more a obsessed hobby player who does not read all the rule sheets anyway.

Tables were a bit hit and miss for me, going nuts is just nuts and I seriously hate Diner. It looks great and I want to like it, but I just can't do anything good there... Anyway: 3 hours were enough to promote me to silver for the next tournament, I expect to be crushed there.

I want 80 pins in my basement as well, but do not have one either. At least there are 60 on the harddisc, what makes me happy anyway :D
