Good luck on the speech, Mike. I am sure you will do fine. Can't wait to get the details on the new stuff. And say high to your new friend, Paul from Virtupin from me ;)

Me and my new friend are waiting for some good news :)

Beautiful cabinet. I recommend you give the just released Elvis Night Mod a whirl withe the directB2S backglass. Incredible lighting.

I pre-registered for the vendor and game halls only but was able to buy a pass for the seminars when I checked in tonight so as long as I'm still alive on Friday I'll be there! It is kind of an expensive event but the staff is really nice. Can't wait for tomorrow!

Have a good show, would you like to elaborate on the "some cool stuff" announcement? :D

Expo starts today so the cool stuff should be announced then. :p

As it turns out I won't be making it to the expo. I am needed here to get stuff done. Bobby will be reading my part of the talk on my behalf.

I'm a programmer too and don't like public speaking. Must be quite a relief ;)

Now I'm not sure if I'm going to make the seminar. We just got done playing pinball and I'm having the meal that you have at 5am after being out all night that I haven't had in 20 years. I'm thinking I might just be rolling out of bed at 2pm! But I played some great pinball!

Has anyone seen the Farsight Virtuapin cabinet in operation? Have they got portrait mode with working backglass and/or moveable DMD? Really itching to know

I'm waiting to know the same thing! It's day 2 and no info is out yet - the suspense is killing me over here!

It is Friday though and Farsight loves to release news about TPA on Fridays so hopefully we'll finally hear something today!

Roo just answered me in another thread - he is off there tomorrow so if we don't here before then, at least one of us will be there in person to report back ;)

Decided to go to the seminar after all. Not much for new nuggets of news. But they did show a picture of their conference room that has a table that "might be" in the Season 3 pack. Of course everything on that table but the coin doors were blacked so nothing could be gleaned - other than it wasn't Hercules which was right out in the hallway. Mainly the seminar stuck to topic talking to the companies origins, what made them start making virtual pinball games, the process of how they initially created tables, how their process has improved over time. Here's a few things worth mentioning that I found interesting:

- First off these forums got a call out by Bobby Knight for assisting in the QA process. He seemed very appreciative of the efforts of some of the posters here that point out when things don't work or look correctly, or when there are still lingering bugs
- Costs seem pretty significant in both purchasing tables, where prices have steadily gone up, and also shipping costs. They specifically spent some time on the shipping costs and mentioned they get an extra ding in cost for shipping tables to their office which is in a rural area.
- Licenses that are impossible due to costs: Any tables with superheroes. Anything Disney owns. Might have been a 3rd category here I'm forgetting.
- Mentioned the headway they've had with Stern but see above for likelihood of Stern releases from the last few years
- Centaur was a real ***** for sound work, particularly with the music. Gottlieb tables have similar issues with music
- Its sounds like its a struggle to keep file size down to meet Apple marketplace restrictions. This means sometimes that things like sound quality can be sacrificed
- Real-time lighting not doable for iOS/Anrdoid devices
- They seemed excited about working with the PS4 real-time lighting. Nothing was shown though other than mock-ups displaying how lighting works on current console vs PS4.
- Rudy's (e.g. Funhouse) shout outs had to be triggered to be saved as audio and not all of them were likely found
- Adams Family was mentioned but not in the context it was the next kickstarter
- For those with Windows phones the app is almost done but it was stressed that they are a small team and there are currently other priorities (PS4 mentioned as one)
- Almost forgot. They mentioned they're working hard to get the next table pack out by next Friday (10/25)

Think that was about it. Did not see the game running on the VirualPin yet as the Game/Vendor hall is closed for the next few hours but will be back there when it opens later.
