Pretty stoked with my first tournament result.

Fourth, out of 10 players. The top two were the two top ranked in Australia. I think my score was 40.

A great start to my IFPA ranking.

What was great to see was that there was a young teenager there, who won state champ at an event recently. Reminded me of how I was as a teenager in love...

I'm dirty that somehow Brisbane has a pinball scene with comps, and Sydney has stuff all (except for Newtown which has more than Sydney's fair share).

If there was a comp in Sydney I would enter. Best I could find was Wollongong which seems to be people with pinball in there houses (and about 90mins on the train from Sydney).

C'mon Sydney we can do better (or let me win millions and I will buy my local pub, convert the top floor into a pinball museum of sorts!)

Start up your own league. IFPA has starter kits about how to do it. It's all free.

Sean suggests doing that in the latest TPA Barcade Podcast. All you need is a venue that supports the idea.
I'm sure there would be one in your area that would do that.
If they serve beer, that could even be better.

At least you're in the same state as a town that has heaps of machines. Victoria is barren as all hell :/

Timezone Brisbane has just added TSPP to their line-up. Going to give it a playtest this Thursday. Lets see how well the techs have done it up (I'm not getting too excited yet...).

Well, I managed to scrape through to the finals in June. Tied in fourth place, which grants me entry.
