Pinfest Allentown- It's That Time Again!

Quick takes:
Black Knight - very basic? Too basic? No upper playfield? [Edit: the Premium and LE have an upper playfield; oh, Stern...] Cool toys and everything but I'd have expected more.
Munsters - only played the LE (black-and-white with mini lower playfield) - pretty cool from my one go.
Monster Bash Remake - the one I played felt a bit shaky, not great build quality. Same with the AFM I played. The huge color DMD is really neat, I'd just like a pin that feels nice and solid like the original WMS ones, this felt like a Data East.
Willy Wonka - a very long line, didn't play.
Oktoberfest - not interested enough to line up (maybe I should've been?)
Iron Maiden - I still want one.
The Surfer that myself and [MENTION=568]Kolchak357[/MENTION] played together - great condition, worth $1475, ever better when the owner marked it down to $1400 while I was playing it! If only I'd had a spare $1400 and my wife's minivan!

Throwing this one at you because I’ve never seen it before and the art made me laugh.

The note says there are "5 copywrite(sic) violations". I was trying to spot them all but only got to 2 (the obvious Kurt Russell/Snake Plissken ripoff, and the Apple logo). So what are the other 3?!

Also the owner was looking for someone to translate the Italian instruction card.

That Surfer was a peach. I wanted to take it home as well. If I thought I could maintain it when issues arose, it would be in my basement right now.

As for Thunder Man, I only noticed Kurt Russell/Snake, lol.

Ha. There was one of those at Vintage Flipper World, which was also this weekend, along with World Defender which is a Terminator rip-off with the artwork in much the same way. Both of those tables are terribly mediocre.

Pinfest was cancelled last year. It was delayed this year. But it is schedule for July 30 and July 31. Be there or be square my friends.
I plan on being there both days as usual.

Wish I'd got to play more of Mandalorian and GnR, but the lines were too long (had a 30 minute wait for GnR just before I left on Friday).

Very difficult to gauge how good they were from a couple of quick plays, but one feature of GnR I really didn't appreciate was the extended last-ball ball saver. It made the wait time even longer!

Yes, the lines were brutal on a couple of those new pins. I thought the wait was worth it for JJ’s GnR. I really enjoyed playing that. I also loved Ultraman. Shame you wait all that time and find out the pin was set to 1 ball. Thank god had had a very good ball, or I would have really been bummed out.
Led Zeppelin was disappointing. I adore the theme, but the pin was a huge letdown. The spinner shot was was the only shot I enjoyed on that one.
Mandalorian was fun, but the ball times were very long in that one. And I’m a terrible player. Good players I think would tire of that pin quickly.
