Question about DE, SEGA, and Stern machines

So has FarSight announced any machines in the process of being created? There hasn't been a modern Stern released since Harley-Davidson 3rd Edition about 2 years ago. That's a shame because there's many others that deserve preservation, like Monopoly, RCT, and High Roller Casino. Maybe if the Williams license expires we'll get a block of Stern like what happened with Premier last year - anything to allow some of my favorite tables to be played!

Bone Busters isn't bad.

There are quite a few unlicensed Premiers I would like to see, actually. Wipe Out, Cactus Jack's, Operation Thunder, Hollywood Heat, just to name a few.

Never got to play Bone Busters, looks good, I didn't mind Genesis (except for the awful back glass). The other tables that you list kind of make my point, if the Williams license would expire again, I would bet you would see many of those before Stern, DE, and Sega machines that rely pretty heavily on licensing. Not knocking on Premier too much , but there are a lot of Williams/Bally's that I would like to see before these.

I would imagine there would be some licensing work on it. Would like to see it and several Sega, Stern, and DE tables but there a lot of tables with lic. issues. Usually, nothing productive comes about when Lawyer's and bean counters get involved.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a major WMS fan. I've only owned WMS games so far, but I'm definitely looking to add some Premiers to my collection. They produced a lot of overlooked and underrated games that I think are just as deserving as anything else.

The point I am trying to make, is that there are a lot of games available from Premier/Gottlieb that would be available that don't require the licensing hassle that would come with a lot of the DE, Sega, and Stern titles.

Whether or not they are good games or not is a seperate question and is only opinion. I have mine, everyone has theirs. None are anymore valid than any others. To each there own...

The point I am trying to make, is that there are a lot of games available from Premier/Gottlieb that would be available that don't require the licensing hassle that would come with a lot of the DE, Sega, and Stern titles. Basically, I think it is more likely that you would see the titles from Premier before you would see the DE, Sega, and Stern (in any kind of large numbers) because of the lic. issues.

Here's another vote for Hollywood Heat!

And speaking of Gottlieb/Premier, I think Monte Carlo (1986) would be a fun one for Pinball Arcade. Has great music and theme, and the mini roulette wheel below the playfield would definitely be something a little different.

Unless of course, the "gambling" theme of the table would require it to go the Pinball After Dark route instead.

TX-Sector is alright. CGR has made it more popular than it probably should be, though.

Yeah, probably right. But TX and Genesis are kind of similar (scifi) themes that I like with good sounds. One thing I actually really do like about the Premier games, is that in general, real machines can be had for pretty reasonable prices. Most of the tables from that era from Bally/WMS are getting a little over inflated.

People are requesting Premiers now, and I agree, the ones the game just now offer a nice change in play style and put a lot of new ideas out there. But I can guarantee that if FS ever touch one of them the backlash will be ridiculous. Which is a shame.

I could be wrong, but I believe that your "some baseball[-]themed game" is Big Hurt and your "one with some big display with [a] number in the middle of the playfield" is Lights, Camera, Action! (though it might also be Car Hop or Surf 'n Safari). As for the Premier that I would most like to see, can we please have Stargate as the next Kickstarter?
