But I never, ever, ever play in camera 1! I used to play in cam 2, now I predominantly play in cam 3 and I always have it locked. But even before actually playing, you could tell if the settings were gonna chug or not just in the initial table flyover.

I'd imagine turning off the scrolling camera will give you a little more juice too.
