For a beginner, it might be easier to start with some of the pins with a simple set of rules. Big Shot is a difficult pin to achieve all the wizard goals on, but it easy to understand and play. Plus it will help your accuracy and nudging improve.

Another that I think is good for beginners is Attack From Mars. Even a novice can usually blow up at least one ship. This helps keep you motivated and coming back for more. The humor and DMD are also very engaging.

A third way to look at this is in terms of multiball. New players usually get a big adrenaline rush from starting multiball. Harley Davidson hands out multiball like crazy. You almost can't avoid it.

So my recommended three pack for beginners is: Big Shot, Attack From Mars, and Harley Davidson. From there you should be a better player and have a better understanding of what types of pins you like.

Each table is fundamentally identical. Hit balls with flippers to hit target shots. Playing any of them will improve your skill over time. Do what I did. I played the games based on which table I needed to complete standard goals. Once completed, move on to the next table that interests you the most. Do the same for wizard goals. This is what I used to determine which table I needed to spend more time on. This is easy to track, and by the time you get most of the wizard goals completed, you should be experienced enough to decide what tables you want to play.
