I will be releasing 1.37.8 today to the general public. Few things to note.

The release version will have DX11 beta in it.

It is still in Beta. If you want to continue getting beta updates, just keep your build set to public_beta. public_beta will match with today's release as well. Next week I plan to do more fixes.

I'm missing some translations for the release build so there will be a patch next week for that.

Enjoy

Version 1.37.8
- JackBot In
- DX11 Beta available in release build
- Fixed SS crate multiball bug where balls get stuck and racks up points

DX11 V1.37.8 Bugs:

Jack*Bot:
  • WHO dunnit IFPA Tips.
  • Pop Bumpers are not part of the GI. Somehow they are, but they're not affecting the upper playfield.
  • Flyer is from Pin*Bot.
Others:
  • Muffled music/sounds on Bride of Pin*Bot, Central Park, Cirqus Voltaire, FunHouse, Genie, No Good Gofers, Ripley's, Scared Stiff, Theatre of Magic, TotAN.
  • Missing floodlights on Lights Camera Action.
  • Side GI (texture swap) in AFM has been carried over from DX9.
  • Fullscreen is not functional at this time. Known issue.
  • High Roller Casino: Slot DMD is x2 the size than normal.
  • Missing 1K spinner sound on High Speed. Sound is present in DX9, though.
  • GI on Creature - overall lighting needs brightened.
  • Haunted House's bumpers needs GI.
  • Centaur's backglass isn't lit.
  • Centaur: 60 Bonus bulb is dim, but only at certain times.
  • Tee'd Off: 2nd Golf Ball isn't lighting up.
  • Earthshaker: GI activity may need tuning (light brightness is fine; just on features like Match Up)
  • Fish Tales: Captive ball lights are too dim.
  • Champion Pub: Start Fight light sequence missing on both health bars: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzFvBmwIx5g
  • White Water: Occasional ball hops at Bigfoot Bluff's diverter. http://youtu.be/9uFpTJeTld4
  • Great job on the lightning effects on Whirlwind, but the light effects around the flashers remain on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wajnSB882p4
  • Twilight Zone: Buildup sound for Multiball is overlapped by another sound.
  • Also on Twilight Zone is the wronged Multiball startup light sequence alongside claiming a Jackpot, both being off sync when compared to the actual machine (DX9 has this problem as well). I think it's a problem with emulation in general.
  • Party Zone: There should be two separate types of solid GI color: Red and White. There are flashers in there as well that separate from the GI overall (which are already in there). Refer to the video below.
  • Shutyertrap's and other users' mentions listed.

Thank you sir! Haven't seen an IRL Jack*Bot since 2002. I'm ready for it. And now for the waiting.......

EDIT: Just saw the time in between posts. In central time, we're three hours ahead. I'll check back sometime after dinner.

Since the Jack*Bot update I can't run any table without constant slowdowns despite alleged 60FPS according to the counter. 650M GT, i7. All tables ran perfectly well before. Tried verifying game cache, setting MSAA samples from 4 to 1, adding .exe to NVIDA control panel, setting max prerendered frames to 1 there. The real framerate looks like below 30fps to my eye with constant, often extreme slowdowns on all tables.

It's a shame because before this update I got perfect 60FPS on all tables with the settings jacked up at 1920x1080.

Before the update (first public build), DX11 settings didn't matter, because they were saved at the wrong position.
So, you didn't have perfect 60 FPS with high settings.

BUG: Cheat does not work for Pin*Bot Poker.

I've made the cheat work for the slot, keno, roll the dice, bonus, and it even saved me from a bomb once on casino run (when I got the 1B+ goal BTW).

However, on five consecutive occasions, I've had three Aces, used the cheat method, with no results. The last two times I've tried to do so, these were the only times I've tried to cheat in each game.

Since "cheating" is directly involved in at least three goals, hopefully the next update will have this bug fixed.

Keep in mind that there's only a chance for the cheat to successfully land. Not a bug.

It does work, in all the places it is supposed to. I've got the 4 Aces Wizard Goal to prove it.

Thanks folks. I still think that's a foul that wizard goals are left to chance like that. Then again, that happens more than one might think in TPA.

On a brighter note: in my last game, I heard Pin*Bot's reference to Red and Ted's Road Show. "Where's my paycheck?"
It would've been funny if the bride said "Pipe Down!" Anyway, I got a little kick out of that.

I updated PA to the latest version and tested DX11 today. Now I have a weird problem in the DX9 version.

I am using joy2key to translate my pincab buttons to keyboard.
That worked perfectly in PA. Now it only works in DX11 anymore but not in DX9.

Real keyboard and mouse work in DX9 but joy2key is not recognized any more.
If I switch between DX9 and DX11 joy2key works only in DX11.

It does also work in Fx2. It looks like something was changed in DX9 that causes that issue.

Please help me on that because I cant play DX9 without that.
