With the recent update ROTC now plays when it should on IOS, so this bug can now be removed from the master issues list.

I'm no legal expert but common sense would indicate that when you have the rights to exploit the game it gives you rights on all of its contents.

nope, depending on the game, there can be LOTS of rights-holders involved. for example, you have to make sure you have the permission of any actor whose likeness appears on the machine, as well as the publisher of any music that plays. there are also further franchise-related complications -- FarSight's Terminator 2 kickstarter had to be rushed because another company had an exclusivity contract that was about to go into effect with regards to the video games using the Terminator franchise. also, it's rumored that one of the reasons The Addams Family hasn't been TPA'd yet is the estate of Raul Julia has reservations about agreeing to licensing.
