Season 1 or Season 2? Which one is better?

Hi all. Since PC (Steam) version of Pinball came out, I am now able to purchase the tables without the need of using CC.

However, It's a tough decision for me to decide which Season I am going to purchase.
I wish to buy both 1 and 2, but I don't want to spend all in one go. That would be costly.

So which one should I go for first? Any suggestions?

I am in the same situation at the moment. I am for certain buying both, but I might just get one and then the other in a week or two. These are the tables to me that make each season so good.

Season 1: Theatre of Magic (my personal favorite table of all time), Star Trek: The Next Generation, Twilight Zone, Ripley's Believe It or Not!, Attack From Mars, Medieval Madness, Creature From the Black Lagoon, Cirqus Volatire, and maybe Scared Stiff.

Season 2: White Water, Cactus Canyon, Terminator 2, Tee'd Off, Haunted House, and Champion Pub.

Just based off of the sheer number of great tables in Season 1, I would recommend grabbing that one. There are only a few tables in that Season that I don't like too much. In Season 2, there some of my favorite tables so far, but also a good mix of many older tables that I don't like quite so much. Ultimately, its up to you but I would go with Season 1 first if you have to only get one. :)

Depends on your taste in pins. But season one is more popular and has more of the highest rated machines. So season one is probably the best bet if you are undecided.

And welcome to the forum! That goes for both of you. :)

Wew. thanks for the opinions.

I don't like FX2 because the pinball effects are not realistic as the real pinball tables.

Ball magically teleports to another location in sorceress lair table? That is unrealistic =.=

Thanks. So I guess I should buy 1 first then.

Another question. If I buy 1, and lets say for example two new tables are added to Season one next month. Will those 2 new tables be included in the season 1 purchase?

Ohh......Go nuts. I thought you were recommending buying Goin Nuts.   I kid!

Season 1 is the way to go if you have to choose. They will not add any tables to a prior season, so.... no.

Season 1 is closed. They won't be adding any more tables to it. If you buy a season pack, you will get all the tables in that season, whenever they come out.

And season 1 is a lot better than 2. Not. Even. Close.

Hmm ok. Thanks for the opinion guys :)

Now probably I just have to wait for the DLC for season packs to launch on Steam so that I can use the payment method directly. :)

You can use a direct payment method even with the way the IAP is set up.

You have a choice to add the exact amount to your wallet and to choose a number of payment method Paypal, Credit Card, etc. This will merely transfer the money needed and then buy you selected purchase.

Yup I know. However, I'm not sure if Steam stores the purchased content information so that if I happen to reformat my PC / install onto another computer / re-install steam, my purchased content will still be there.

In Steam, there is one section called Licences and Subscriptions on my Account Information. Just wanted my DLC purchases to appear on that one so that at least I know Steam has reflected my purchases on my Steam account.

Create a farsight login, and your DLCs will be tied to that login, so if you need to reformat - whatever - you can restore the licenses by loggin into TPA with the farsight login in STEAM.
You need a farsight login if you want to redeem a kickstarter reward in any future event as well ...

Hi Netizen,

I used to think that was the only way, but if one purchases through Steam those particular licenses are transferred automatically when you log on with your Steam Account. I put TPA on my wife's laptop and logged on Steam with my account and it recognized both Seasons Passes once I downloaded TPA. I wasn't even logged the TPA account and I saw both seasons and was able to play. I'm pretty sure that you are correct about kickstarter and or beta access, though. Those are definitely tracked through the TPA/Farsight accounts.

One can see the Table Packs purchased in Steam through Account > Account Details > Game Transactions.

Hey Timelord,

I will admit that I am a nub when it comes to Steam so I am basing this off my own experiences with using it for the last 5 or so days without having purchased any tables packs and just playing Kickstarter rewards via my FarSight login, so your info is probably more up to date in it's own way.

I did, finally, take advantage of some of the credits I had outstanding from the TZ tournament and got Season 1 gifted, so again I needed my FarSight login to redeem that, but I bought Season 2 today and I was able to do the direct purchase that I described above. It seems that there is a bit of misunderstanding on just what the licenses are tied to re: steam and FarSight accounts especially for longer term Steam users. I, myself, do not find much of this dual account thing that bad given the cross platform nature of TPA and the issues we have had to go through with past Kickstarter rewards etc.

Maybe the support people need to make some clarifying statements on the Steam platform :/

Oh for sure...

I wasn't posting that you were wrong, just at the moment there seems to be multiple ways to do things...
