Phew - what a great idea it was. Let's turn a multiplex Cinema into an pinball heaven for a day. And organize my second tournament - there is plenty of space, so why not try to make it the biggest tournament in Austria.
Let's see... Pinball tournament in a cinema. Ok, so we need a trailer for it, that will be played among those Hollywood movie trailers. Better make it good then. Ok, I do stereoscopic for over twenty years, so why not produce the CG myself, ask a partner company to do the filming, and there we go... http://youtu.be/OAIKZICy7HI
What did I miss in other tournaments I participated? Catering. Yeah, couldn't be hard to organize food for 80 people... Drinks! Yeah, drinks would be cool too. Find a brewing company, that sponsors drinks and beer for 80... Check! Too much beer after the tournament will lead to sleepiness. Ok, go find them rooms to stay. Check again.
Wait, did we miss something? Yeah. Pinball machines. Loads of them. The members of Flippnic.at have them. Great. Some special ones would be nice... Lets say for the finals. WOZ, CV, MB, lord, Metallica, if it's available by then. Let ask the distributor, if we can get the newest ones. check!
Damnit, it was way too easy this far...
Hmmm... Transportation! Ouch! 50 pinball machines, my buddies from the club, trucks, and a bunch of muscle men that can move them for a whole day... Check again!
You must not underestimate the friendships that are deriving from playing pinball.
Pinball players seem to be the most helpful, welcoming and reliable people in the world.
