...I've been playing TPA on my XBOX with an old CRT tv. And being a lucky gent, I got a 32 inch LED tv for christmas thanks to some seriously awesome folks. And firing up the xbox and playing a game of CV...

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD ITS SO PRETTY JESUS CHRIST WHOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Haha :) When I first got my launch X360, I had a CRT TV as well. I got Gears of War with the console, and hated it. Couldn't tell friends from enemies, or make out items lying around. Holy crap, getting a HD TV changed all that.
All games made the past many years are made for HD, it's the one big new thing of this generation (which is almost over, as well), so you have a world of pretty games to explore right now ;)

Why are people so crazy about the neon multiball again?
Apart from the fairly easy extra ball, of course.

He was talking about how pretty the table is. Neon multiball in a dark environment is very pretty.

Neon Multiball in electric blue on the 360 is probably the most visually stunning effect in all of TPA so far. I've dropped out of it several times because I was too busy staring at the pretty lights.

Yes, make sure to get a HDMI cable for the 360 it gets better , sharper effects and just trust me , I used to have the PS3 hooked to a 12 year old 15 inch flat screen CRT , got a nice LED TV last year , and then got HDMI cable , just a world of difference .

Maybe I'm doing something wrong? We _are_ talking about the random multiball mode from the Sideshow, right? All I see, is the tube along the right ramp glowing in a color, like it also does whenever the ball goes down the rail, or the game lights up during attract mode, extra ball, and happenings like that. I can imagine it looks sweet on a real table, of course.

Maybe that's it, I haven't seen it on the 360, but it's amazing on the PS3.

It's indeed pretty. Sadly, the specific TV I got hated any computer I tried to plug it in, so we're returning it. Newegg sales, however, ensure I'll be getting a nice new fancy pants TV in 3 days. :) Can't wait to pin in HD.

Yeah, I remember wen I first got the 360 - I too only had a CRT TV. But I wisely decided to get the VGA adapter so I could at least hook it to my PC monitor and enjoy some prettier graphics... I don't think you can even get that anymore, but it worked really well until a few years later I got an HDTV.

And being one of the first LCD monitors out there (its over 10 years old now!), it also meant I could actually play in high def (1280x1024 - so I could do 720p easily).

Just make sure you aren't running that game in the 'dynamic' or 'vivid' type preset. They're so over blown and over bright with too much over sharpening they hurt your eyes, game mode or cinema /movie will look miles better.
Glad you're enjoying the game :)

Also, "game mode", if your TV has it, usually has less lag, since the picture is left untouched. Pretty important for games like this.

Maybe that's it, I haven't seen it on the 360, but it's amazing on the PS3.
Guess I have to see it on PS3 then!
