Now's the time for all our console friends to jump ship to the land of happiness on Steam! I did it after Season 2 on PS3 and haven't looked back. It's amazing how many fewer complaints you'll have...until a whole new set crop up that you never had to consider before on console!

I really can't support this company anymore after they've completely neglected the PS3/PS4 version. I really urge everyone to think twice about doing this. You're just supporting a broken system and an overextended developer who has shat on a large portion of their customer base.

I understand your feelings and respect your desire to no longer push good money after bad. I saw the writing on the wall midway through Season 2 when were all clamoring for the PS3 Mega Patch (remember that?) and when it finally arrived, there were still issues. If I was still using a console to play TPA, I'd be rightfully pissed. On the PC though, I'm pleased as punch. Game plays great, looks great, and is updated first. There's still bugs, to be sure. Just nothing that completely makes me disgusted with playing.

My question to you regarding your proposal that everyone stop supporting FarSight; what happens then? The user base on this forum is a tiny fraction of the overall user base. This very user base is what keeps FarSight honest. Without us, I shudder to think what state the game would be in! Let's say though that everyone stopped buying the game, everywhere. Then what? Do you think some other game company is gonna swoop in and remake all the tables? They'd first have to negotiate the license of WMS/Bally, Stern, and Gottlieb away from FarSight, who wouldn't give it up because even after they stop making the game, they still can sell it. To who? The large number of curious people who are new customers every month.

Like I said, by all means stop supporting what no longer is a pleasant experience for you. For me, I'm having just as much fun as ever.

It's hard to say what season is the best between 1,2 and 3 because they all have some great tables.

Season 3 has probably my 3 top tables; Dracula, Fish Tales and High Roller Casino. They might be an acquired taste though. Another fave is Diner. They are a little more challenging tables I think and especially drac and fish tales with the slightly smaller lighting flippers feel really great and have a physically more realistic feel to them and are slightly harder and Diner is drainy too. Many of the pinball arcade pins are just too easy. But s3 has some more nice ones; Who dunnit, BK2000 and Black Rose are pretty fun as well, but I might not go back to them as often.

Season 1 has all the heavy top classics; Medieval Madness, Monster Bash, Attack from Mars, Cirqus V, TZ, Theatre of Magic, Creature, Arabian Nights, Scared Stiff. The majority of the rest is up there too. However, the physics feel a little floaty. From Attack from Mars and onwards it's slightly better.

Season 2 is slightly weaker but has some absolute gems with lots of replay value as well; White water, Whirlwind, Cactus Canyon, Space Shuttle, and then Centaur, T2 and maybe one or two more aren't too shabby either.

All in all I agree with Eldar, 1, 3, 2, in that order. I guess season 1 is just a must have, however like I said the physics get slightly better from last table of s1 and onwards.

They need to go back to S1 & 2 and update the graphics and physics, they just compare poorly now in 2016 to anything after Season 3!!...just a shame that FarSight seem to neglect their first few seasons!! what with bugs being still present 2 years after the fact etc.....or maybe there just spread too thin!!

I am no "gamer" by any means. I love the whole world of digital pinball and the occasional foray into a kart-racing game. That's about it for me. I have played on consoles and in fact, touted them as the best pinball experience. However, I have changed my mind. Got over my fear of PC technology, and studied up on what makes a PC, and have likely purchased my last gaming console. When my Wii U and 360 go dark, I will still have the Steam/PC ecosystem. As a pinhead before a gamer I really do think PC is the best bet. It seems to be where most development (and or fixing/updating) is really going on for Zen Studios and Farsight. And we have Zaccaria and Pro Pinball for a diversion LOL.

While I now agree with shutyertrap, I mean... I also understand what starck is saying as well. Zen abandoned the Wii U release and never got it right. Farsight committed and delivered late and it's still on version 1.00 and really needs pro controller support and a fix for the lighting bug. I love the idea of cross platform development, but myself and console friends have been soooo disappointed by both major players.

So after all that I came to the realization that the PC ecosystem is best for me. And I swear that was a whole week before the blahcade podcast!!!!! LOL!

That's where all my future pinball investment is gonna go, unless the console arena delivers some kind of compelling bombshell. Not likely.

IMHO, the only company that can or has ever tried to do anything interesting in the console space is Nintendo. So if there's going to be any bombshells, it'll come in the form of the NX. Of course, nothing is ever going to be more flexible for developers and consumers than the PC though.

Agreed Stuzz, on both your statements. Nice work on Excalibur in the tourney by the way!

Season 1: $19.79

S1 Pro: $19.99

Season 2: Same as above.

Season 3: $9.89

S3 Pro: $9.99

Season 4 Pro: $29.99

Thanks Wiz! I just picked up on the sale today and was in time to get me some discounted pro seasons. Although I predominantly play on iOS, I do like the eye candy of the PC, and also like to try out the physics differences that are sometimes present cross-platform.

The whole point of the post is that it's not really about the money; it's just about the leaderboards. But indeed I did forget about the table look!

Byte, I reread your original post and did take it out of context.

Hmm, is anyone else having trouble connecting to Steam right now? I was about to shovel $50 their way but if I can't connect....
