I don't believe it is possible to upgrade on Steam, still/yet.

I appreciate the help in finding the FAQ. Even though it's from June 2014, at least I now know the only way to upgrade to pro is paying full price for the pro pack or doing so by individual table packs.

PSN has a $10/season upgrade option. That's the big advantage that Playstation has over the Steam version if upgrading to pro is your thing. I should have taken advantage of the sale to buy the pro packs. (Thanks Darius Burst Chronicle LOL!)
