Your reply makes absolutely no sense...

So you're saying that because both my original game screen, as well as the video recorded internally by the PS4's video encoder chip look the same, my "screen isn't set up properly"?? Again, that makes no sense whatsoever.

And again, the PS4 onboard encoder resides on the same chip that renders all of the PS4 video it's rendered AND THEN it goes to the MP4 video encoder. Don't believe me? Try adjusting the gamma in a game and then record it. It will display EXACTLY as it does in-game.
WYSIWYG

If your PS4 recorded videos look different than what you see while playing the game than something is wrong on your end.
So good luck with that. Maybe you can solve that problem.

I've been recording PS4 Videos using the internal PS4 encoder for years now and it's always recorded exactly how it looks when playing the game. Minus the trophy pops and other menus if you have them disabled in the settings.

Here are 100+ videos I've recorded this way.
https://www.youtube.com/user/videogameobsession/videos

The only thing that really is wrong here is that you fancy your self as a bit of time waster, and all because I said, "Truth be told...". Yet what do we have here:

albeit a bit softer and with some noticeable compression artifacting.

So you can see something...

Why do you think I said something in the first place? Because I felt the need to be honest and let people know that while they might be watching a video of something that they may not be able to get hold of yet, that they would be wise to remember that what they see is not what they will get when they play the game. I also stated I believe all those that have said the game is darker than TPA. First reply and what do you know..., PeacemakerPIN was in agreement.

If you can't really tell any difference then wow, you've dumped a 100+ video's with no care what so ever in how others may perceive them! Good job I did say something then as I can only imagine some folk would of been left in the "dark" wondering. HA! :D

While there is nothing wrong with my devices including my all new PS4 Slim, thanks for sharing though! It gives me a small insight in to what it might actually look like on the real iron knowing full well what your TPA video's already look like. :p

As in said, the video artifacts are associated with the MP4 compression along with YouTube's own compression algorithm. That will soften the video, but it does not affect the brightness. It looks I st as dark during the game as it does on the video.

Maybe you are watching the videos on a different device/display than your PS4.

I don't know what the rest of your post was going on about, sorry.

Not really on topic, but why did you buy a new PS4 slim?
It seems like a waste of money with the Pro just released.

Any idea what the difference is between AC/DC Premium that's included in table pack 1 and the AC/DC that's sold separately for the same price (26.99 Canada, 19.99 US)?

Aside from Frankenstein, the other games lack trophy support and the ability to get all of the Standard or Wizard Goals. Or at least that seems to be my personal experience with the other tables. I don't see many people paying $20 on a single table when they have full access to it already. Perhaps this wasn't intended by Farsight and maybe it was supposed to be a timed demo?

Before I got the PS4 I was still playing TPA regularly on XBOX360... Just in the back of my mind I always knew I could own physical copies of Season 1 & 2 on PS4 and gain all those extra tables I didn't have. I couldn't make my mind up if I should buy the older one or get a slim and spent months sitting on the idea with the game already sat on the shelf waiting to go... As someone who is more a retro gamer covering last gen to the 1980's, as well as someone not really interested in what current gen might offer to the masses which includes V.R, it was timing more than anything.

No sign yet that I need a PS4 Death Star to play Pinball though. I should be good for the time being with SPA hopefully coming to Europe. ;)

Buying just the new tables will cost $30, getting the bundles will be $40. It seems Stern will be asking $10 for any new tables.

There are two bundles ($20) each. The three new tables cost $40 total (AC/DC costs $20, Mustang and Star Trek cost $10 each) on their own.

The cheapest option is to by bundle 1 (contains AC/DC, Star Trek, and two other tables) and Mustang on its own for $30 total.

I'm thinking FS knows this, and may update the SPA versions and not the TPA versions. And maybe there will be SPA tournaments (for which you own the table). So know what you're doing.

But as to cost savings, any idea if there might be a short-running Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale on the SPA bundles? The Big Fans already got theirs at full price, so they might get some attention drawn to themselves.

I would be very surprised to see a sale now, as the tables are not even released on PS4 in EU, on XBox, PC, Mobile etc. Usually Farsight doesn't give any discounts on current tables/seasons. My opinion: No way!

All in all, $30 for these three modern Stern pins aren't too bad. Even with their graphical problems, hopefully this is a beginning of Stern releasing their new stuff digitally as well as physically. With the asinine prices of new pins, SPA is something for the "poorer" folk. I don't see any reason why Stern wouldn't keep funding this game and we should be getting updates for a few years at least. After all, Stern Pinball has proven that they love money.

At least it's not just me finding the tables and ball too dark. I was thinking I was missing a slider or option or something. I've got a Star Trek pinball at a local place that I play regularly and there's no way the Enterprise should be that dark grey shadow looming over the playfield like a derelict spaceship. I've got no idea how the ball shininess is so completely nonexistent.

Nope, they are very dark and the pinball itself is very dark and dull. Not only that but the ball can go from visible to masked in a dark shadow in the blink of an eye making for some extremely cheap ball losses here. I really can't enjoy the tables while struggling to see them. You would think their newly launched IP would at least have some of the same options as their older game. I thought the lighting slider and sound mixing were here to stay as they added a lot to the tables.

Just something I've been wondering. Regardless of tilt/nudge, many of the TPA tables are cheesy easy compared to the real machines they are meant to replicate. It's almost as if they have been meticulously tuned this way to make lesser skilled players have a false sense of achievement so they buy more tables over all...

Now that people are being asked to pay more..., have any of the previous tables been remastered so they play more like the real thing or are they the same?
