Table of the Week Club...Week 55: ROAD SHOW

Take a trip across America destroying and blowing up stuff while collecting souvenirs with this week's table, Road Show. How are Red and Ted not on Homeland Security's watch list? Their path of destruction is epic, and yet somehow the immigrant taxi driver is the bad guy?

Let's see why the government allow them to get away with things, shall we?
- they rescue a guy in Atlanta;
- they like Country music;
- they support a small business by buying all those souvenirs from Bob's;
- they support tourism in Nevada by playing at the casinos;
- they kill aliens in Seattle;
- they aid the mining industry in Montana.

On the other hand:
- they show blatant disrespect for a specific hard-working individual who is presumably a legal immigrant, multiple times, by targeting his means of income (the aforementioned taxi driver);
- they display what may well be drunk an disorderly behavior during Spring Break in Miami, and during Mardi Gras in New Orleans (while in charge of a bulldozer, nonetheless!);
- they show blatant disregard for the law in Ohio (by running from the State Police) and Illinois (by blowing up toll booths);
- they start an earthquake in San Francisco.

It's a toss-up, wouldn't you say?

Oh, and anyone got any tips for get that 125M jackpot on a consistent basis? I've done it once, but before I'd got all the Standard Goals, naturally, and been unable to repeat it since. Seems trying to do it is harder than just letting it happen.

I never got the 125M jackpot either, but never really tried. No tips here I'm afraid.

The rattle and shake effects on the x-box controller for windows are outstanding. It`s like a massage to my hands.

I just hope they'll get that pinball analytics server running right again (which hosts the TPA leaderboards). I still get a screen that says it has an invalid certificate. I can play all tables but I think any highscore will get lost.....

Edit: and I haven't got that 125M jackpot Wizard Goal

Mmh... Only wizard goal missing: 125M Jackpot. I start seeing a pattern here....

Well the basic strategy I've been doing is this...

1. whack Ted in the face 5 times for Friday
2. lock balls one and two, activate multiball
3. score at least one jackpot
4. repeat steps 1 and 2 twice
5. score at least one jackpot
6. now you have to whack Ted in the face 10 times to get one Friday
7. lock the ball
8. whack Ted in the face 10 more times (or is it now 15?) to get Friday
9. lock the ball
10. start multiball and try not to succumb to the pressure as now I need to score jackpots until 125 million is rewarded.
11. whack Ted in the face a bajillion times more since 125 million was not reached, all the while not throwing my controller in frustration.
12. starting the game over as it's probably easier than doing step 11.

1. Ignore the stupid wizard goal and don't let someone dictate my way of playing the game.
2. Have fun playing the table
3. Sometimes feeling the need to finally reach the goal
4. Checking the rule sheets about the goal
5. Return to 1.

I really do enjoy the crap out of this table. I tend to let most modes just time out, and my strategy would pretty much be the same whether I was going for that last wizard goal or not. That being said, I restart this table ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME if I haven't gotten at least one multiball on ball one. That's the main affect of playing for wizard rather than playing for fun.

This is also a table I tend to play with the audio off, as there's only so much of Red and Ted I can take.

Count me in too, Xanija. That's the way I play. All that I am sure of is that if there is a dmd video "wizard goal", it's not gonna happen. I did win ToM video mode, but that's playing pinball. The only video mode I really want to get is AFM: Never gonna' happen.

Is table of the week the free table for that week ? Because Roadshow is not showing as a free table on ios on my device. Wonder whether it has to do anything with the servers that has been down.

Table of the week has nothing to do with the free table of the month from FarSight. Table of the week is simply an idea by shutyertrap to focus on one table for a week. It's something everyone can participate in to discuss strategies, completing wizard goals etc. Every month we play the Tournament of the Month, where we play those tables.

I love the ToTW because it motivates me to fire up tables that I wouldn't choose easily, and it helps to focus on that one table to really go for the next highscore. The last 5-6 ToTW I managed to better my highscore every time although I'm not sure if I'm up to better my 25B on Roadshow.

Did a stream/video for you guys on Road Show since you guys were having issues with the 125m Jackpot goal. Ended up getting the 125m jackpot on my 4th multiball and attempt #2... so its not as easy as it sounds! I only posted attempt #2 as its over an hour long. Hope it helps you guys out and keep on flippin'!
