I'd be very surprised if we didn't see Stern's Star Trek or Whoa Nellie by the end of the year, Star Trek almost seems made for TPA and Stern were looking at producing an original for ages.

I don't think Stern would want any current production tables in TPA, as there would be concerns that sales of the actual physical table would be affected negatively. They are, after all, marketing these tables to sell to home users (the man cave etc.) as well as the traditional channels.

My guess is the original High Speed but I'm hoping to be surprised with Diner.

I'm guessing we won't see another DMD pin. Can't burn through them all at once. So I'm guessing the original High Speed.

I hope you're both right. I'm 99% sure we'll see it this season given how *not* dismissive they were on Facebook.

So barring any licensed tables, or any Data East/Sega/Stern games, Season 3 would look exactly like this:

Fish Tales
Black Rose
The Getaway
Who Dunnit
Road Show
Safe Cracker
Black Knight 2000
The Party Zone
Earth Shaker
Diner

Since we know we're getting Junk Yard for sure, perhaps they will skip either Earth Shaker or Diner, since they may not want to do two System 11 games in a row.

Ok my head is spinning lol.

My guess is The Getaway :)

That list looks great ;)

I hope we get the clue this Friday. not that the clues have ever really been that good, anyway.

Probably won't get the clue until the 24th at the earliest, when the newsletter and the retail versions are released. If the old schedule is still followed.

Unless Pinball after Dark is going to become a thing sooner and it and TPA are going to start alternating releases at a faster rate :/

Don't know what you guys are talking about, the clues have been great lately because most of us have been completely wrong for the past few releases.

The vaguer it is, the more we spend speculating rather than spending 2 weeks waiting for it to be confirmed with everybody knowing what it is.

actually only black rose was not guessed right - FT and CBW were predicted at the same day as newsletters arrived

You guessed it .... BEFORE the hint(s).

"Black Knight" is also black but his silver iron appearance hinted at the original table.

After BK being table of the month #22 Table Pack 23 will be BK2K.

Yeah, Farsight must have saw that we were onto them and had spotted their pattern - I guessed Black Rose as soon as Fish Tales was announced. So they made their hint reference two OTHER tables with the real clue being much more subtle than that. Crafty.

So what was #2 on the Williams poll? I bet that will be next month! :p

I believe #2 on the Williams poll was The Getaway, although I think it is going to be the first High Speed

That would make sense as FarSight would probably make more money off of both High Speed tables combined if they released the first one first (assuming they'll eventually release both at all). Lots of people bought and enjoyed Black Knight, but I would think fewer would have had Black Knight 2000 come out first. Same deal here.

BK and BK2K are entirely different games. The gameplay is different enough that I don't think it would really affect sales. Similar to BOP and Pin*Bot.

Personally, I consider Grand Lizard to be more of a "true" sequel to Black Knight than BK2K, at least gameplay-wise.

HS and HS2 share about 90% of the same playfield layout. HS2 features most of the same gameplay as HS, but it expands on it. They do have a different "feel", especially because of the different plungers (spring vs. auto), but they're similar enough that someone probably wouldn't buy HS if HS2 came first.

You're right that High Speed I & II are more similar than Black Knight and Black Knight 2000. That makes the imperative to release the first table all the more important.

Maybe they'll release one for pinball arcade and the other for Pinball after dark...

I hope they do the same for JackBot.

But are there any adult themes in those pins? Aside from gambling in JackBot, obviously, but that's not a theme that would restrict the age rating.
