Once I had to edit a table from the wikipedia page that someone added with the caveat "(HEAVILY RUMOURED)". I can't remember which table it was, but I don't think it was rumoured at all at that stage.

This is definitely the season for Lawlor.

There were zero Lawlors last season, and a tonne of (Super) Ritchie Bros., so they're making up the number.

All I'm saying is don't be surprised when you see R&T this season. I'll just leave it at that. :p

Oh, and TSPP is the next KS table. It's been talked about to death, as well as mentioned on the Twitch feeds.

TSPP would be great news, it's said to have a deeper ruleset than LOTR, and I love those tables with lots to discover! I have played TSPP on VP and loved the way things could be stacked. There's also a good Bowen Kerrins tutorial vid on papa.org.
T&R Roadshow is also a fun pin with multiple objectives. Both would be great additions to TPA! Now if they only could do Indy '93 and LOTR, most of my favourite tables would have been made. Very low chances to see those, but one can dream and wish right?

No doubt it's either TSPP as the next KS, or likely no more Kickstarters at all MHO. It all depends on the price vs anticipated demand. :) Can't be considered a future table until then.

I'm sure R&T is on the radar, it's definitely one of the heaviest requested tables. So we probably have High Speed 2 for #36 in March, then Xenon for either #37 or #38 (April or May). That leaves two slots that are more speculative mystery at the moment. Though nothing is confirmed, R&T makes a heck of a lot of sense as a season closer to me.

They've removed some music from Party Zone, so I hope they'll get rid of that multiball song from Road Show too. Man, I hate country, the table would be so much better without that singer in it. And they could replace that pic of her in the backglass with Lawlor's face or something.

And speaking of TSPP, the table is perfect for PA. it's deep as hell and probably will have the hardest Wizard Goals of all time. I love it and do hope it's the next Kickstarter.

Oh really? What music did they remove? I know Pinball Wizard is still in it.

I don't think Farsight have ever said R&T would have licensing issues.

Purple Haze and Come Fly With Me, i think. They're nowhere to be found.

Road Show has some country singer featured in it, called Carlene Carter. Not only she voices Red, but has a picture of her on the backglass, and a song of hers plays during multiball. That's probably the reason why it hasn't showed up until now.

Oh, I'm sure there have been some way out there added table titles. All I'm saying is that from all the ones I've seen, they all came true that season. As for Lawlor, well, I've had my fill of his tables. He's not one of my favorites, by any means.

Any table that has Hendrix in it can just be expected to NOT have it in TPA. The licensing for Hendrix music is impossible. The last two Hendrix bio pix couldn't even get the rights to use his music. Sadly, his sister is a whackjob control freak.

No, Farsight has never said that R&T would be a licensing issue.

But they still have to pay for that one country singer, right? Whatever it takes, I just want my Road Show. Shouldn't be that expensive.

Yep. Just depends on her contract or how "reasonable" she's willing to be. Hopefully she doesn't have the same agent as Christopher Lloyd.

I lost all respect for him after this fiasco.

I understand that he wants to get paid, and he's definitely earned it, but there's no reason to be a greedy douchebag. You seriously couldn't take a reasonable amount JUST for a company to use a cartoon image of your face? The same goes for Jimmy Workman, you know, that actor that nobody in the world even knows. Instead of making free and easy money, he'll now make NO money and continue to be irrelevant.

Morons.

I'd wager that the sync license for that tune and the voice rights are fairly reasonable. "You never know" of course, but far more famous songs are in TPA.

I'd feel the game would suffer without the music as that's a key theme of the multiball.

(And it's not *that* country, it's more like country-rock crossover. Heck, that album was produced by a Heartbreaker (Howie Epstein), after all. I'll admit that 80s-90s country crossover isn't my favorite style from that era either, but it's pretty good compared to that generic arena rock with a banjo stuff they call "country music" now. :) )

I wouldn't put blame on him. It was probably all his agent's doing. Most agents don't even go through their clients believing they're doing something for the better of their clients

I think the word was that was the issue.

I don't think we'll get Red & Ted or The Getaway for table pack 36 because we'll be getting Starship Troopers and the Addams Family back to back, both of which are DMD games. Maybe we'll be getting Xenon, but it still seems a little early for that, so I have no idea what number 36 will be right now.

That kind of agent is doing a disservice to his client. I guess we'll never know.

The issue as i recall was an evil "most favored nation" clause which would have made it impossible to afford.

That too. Which means if they did pay Lloyd what was being asked, they'd have to pay out even more to Raul and Anjelica.
