Yay, High Roller Casino got on the list :3

The other tables deserved their position too but I'm surprised to see a lack of Twilight Zone.

Why? To the general populous, it's not a great table. It didn't do well in arcades. Pinheads loved it, but it's kinda like the movie that tanks in the box office only to find second life on DVD. This article, which is enticing the general populous, is highlighting tables that are easy to get into yet pose a challenge. Perfect for the casual player.

...and here I thought I was the only one who didn't like that table. (Then again, I'm not a Lawlor fan, so I figured maybe that was the reason.)

I love Lawlor tables, but TZ has never grown on me. Sometimes everything and the kitchen sink just seems less elegant than a well focused endeavor. I personally don't care about any of the modes, where in TAF I find most of them engaging. Some people like a bazillion options and modes, which is why AC/DC gets love, but I prefer Metallica as I think it is more focused. To each his own, right?

It's the "Office Space" of pinball machines.

Personally, I don't really care for it, but, like all tables, I like to give it a go once in a while to change things up.

I love NGG and Earthshaker, but most of his tables are just a jumble of cluttered messes, with TZ being at the top of the list. I prefer a more cleaner playfield, if that makes any sense? I don't mind toys and some ramps, but you can only add in so many things before it just stops making the playfield fun.

Back to TZ, it also doesn't help when the table is dark as hell for PS3. I'm still waiting for them to correct that, as well as on T2 and Diner.

I keep wishing (pleading heavily) that that evil clown in: Cyclone will turn into "Pennywise". Just a Stephen King Constant Reader. ;)

My predictions:

37. The Getaway: High Speed II
38. Jack-Bot
39. Xenon
40. Safe Cracker

Good predictions-and welcome to the boards. However, we are still missing the dreaded "G-word" table this season. Maybe either Rescue 911 or Gladiators (or some "g-word" DMD game).

That's my prediction for #38 in place of Jack*Bot-that will come in season 5. I wouldn't mind being wrong about this though.

Just to vent, season 4 has been an absolute dud. In contrast to season 3 which was excellent.

I don't think season 4 is a dud at all. Inconsistent-yes. While getting great tables like POTO, Earthshaker, and TAF, I got bored quickly with TPZ and frustrated with SST. And voters playing semantics with the meaning of "pre 1980's" resulted in a table made in 1980 winning the poll, beating out all the real "pre-80's" tables.

Still some great stuff to come. Hang in there.

Although rating the quality of tables released and to come is very subjective; what is left to be done guarantees the future seasons won't be as high in quality as previous. In hindsight, I wonder if Farsight reps ever pondered "maybe we should have spaced out the releases for Medieval Madness, Attack from Mars, Cirqus Voltaire, Creature from the Black Lagoon and Monster Bash?". Kind of happy they didn't of course ;)

Had they known they'd still be making the game 4 years in? I'm sure they would have. At the time though they were only guaranteed the license with WMS for x amount of tables. I think it was a case of "let's get in what we can in case we don't get to do more". And I'm with you...I'm glad we got all the best early!

But I wish they had the quality of current releases, which is almost flawless in the art department.
I am only referring to the art, because technical stuff like rom emulation can be put in later.
It is highly unlikely though, that they take apart the machines again and make new high res photos... If they still own them in the first place.
It's just a pain to look at monster bash.
Someone could redraw in Photoshop of course...
