I had an ios update on reckless racing 2 this afternoon so maybe there's still hope that we'll get it. I've been constantly checking the App Store for the update for 24 hours now. I get like this every month waiting for new tables... I'm going out of my mind!

I still think we'll get it this weekend, especially in light of what the newsletter said.

I don't think Apple is working the whole weekend. But it is possible to schedule releases. The developer can set the release to every day. Even sundays. But i see no reason why FarSight should do this... So I think there is a very low chance, we'll get anything before monday...

This is bs. Apple should have somebody working exclusively with Farsight. Android first again, days later still no iOS release. Apple drops the ball yet again.

There's really nothing Farsight can do. iOS submissions take at least a week for Apple approval. There's no way around that.....meanwhile, they can release Android updates almost instantly because there is no lengthy approval process.

Farsight only has one constant problem:
Over promise and under deliver when it comes to release dates.
And it's even not intentional on their site since it's always in situations
which are not totaly in their control, like the XBox-Arcade "fiasco".

We now have the same situation: Farsights "thinks" Apple will have it
approved by this weekend and they can publish it immediately. And the
only thing people can think about is: "Farsight said this weekend...".
So you really can't blame it on Apple but on Farsight's PR.
When you can't make sure to accomplish something on your own, don't
promise anything, don't say anything at all that gets people's hope up.
Since you can time a release to your liking (after it's approved of course),
simply don't tell people anything until you got your update approved and then
give them an exact date.

My humble opinion...

FS promises nothing; they do not give a hard date unless Apple, MS, or whatever entity is responsible for release gives them that date. Otherwise, they estimate the most likely time it will be released, giving us a general idea of when to expect it, and which they will probably quit doing if people keep posting things like this.

This is how the original Newsletter reads:

Table Pack #5: Harley Davidson, Third Edition™ and Taxi™ has just been released for Android and should be released for iOS this weekend.

This *might* be an improvement:

Table Pack #5: Harley Davidson, Third Edition™ and Taxi™ has just been released for Android and should be approved by Apple and released for iOS soon, maybe even this weekend.

If there's some sort of rule against mentioning Apple as the holdup, then:

Table Pack #5: Harley Davidson, Third Edition™ and Taxi™ has just been released for Android and should be released for iOS soon, maybe even this weekend.

Not great, but better.

There is a big difference between the words should and will.

Which, in my opinion, might even be in their best interest. It will save them from the constant moaning when it comes to release dates. Not on this board so much, but the opinions on Facebook concerning things like XBox Arcade, European Playstation/PS Vita dates are sometimes a bit "harsh", and in my opinion they could do something about it themselves, just in their representation of it.

And about the difference between "will" and "should": It's not about the semantic difference between the two words but what people read into it,
and in many cases this is "should=will".

I think FS just tends to give us a best case scenario, assuming all goes according to plan. A few days doesn't bug me. Compared to th PS3 folks in Europe, I have no complaints.
