Wolfy you know how I love the Velvets and Lou. One of my all time favorites. I nearly passed out the first time I heard that intro to Sweet Jane.

Prob my second favorite live album. UFO’s Stranger In The Night just edges it out for me. But both are pretty flawless in my eyes.

yep that intro just blew me away , the quality of the sound was great , oh bloody hell 45 years ago , showing my age ( I don`t care ) the 2 guitarist , Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner were unreal . I was lucky to see them both play live in Brisbane . about 1976 Lou Reed came and Alice Cooper came out around the same time , Steve and Dick played for both .I was more times at Brisbane`s Festival Hall (held about4,500 people , so you could see no matter what seat you were in ) than I was at home hehe , boy did I go to a lot of concerts . Kolchak , I hate the giant places they hold concerts today , I prefer the smaller places . we`re lucky here , we have quite a few smaller places that range from about 1,000 cap to about 4,000 cap . Festival Hall is no longer around , I cried when it came down .

oh yep , a concert was between $6-90 and $8-90 au back in 1976 , the same price as a LP . i was a 2nd year apprentice electroplater , i was doing so much overtime , i was taking home $150 a week. it wasn`t until October i found out my actual wage was $76 a week , living at home no board , paid nothing . so all my money went to concerts , LPs and going to heaps of sports , as most sporting grounds are close to Dad`s house , lucky bugger i was .

Totally agree. As I get older I tend to stick to smaller venues and places a bit closer to home. I've also had to limit the amount of shows I attend because of the high ticket and parking prices. Still love going, but I just do it a bit less. Don't remember ever going to a show and saying "I wish I hadn't gone". A lot of great memories. Sadly many of my favorites are gone now, but that's the price you pay for getting older. :)

yeah, they have a civic center here but bands don't come, they will play a smaller place like a club, or like i said, the casinos in Biloxi.

Been doing all my drinking. And doing all my drugs.
I have been thinking. That I think too much.

If every now and then you feel like you've seen it all.
Then be sure to remember there's always two sides to a wall.
