I definitely like the RL version of AC/DC, so I don't doubt it's one of the better video game tables. ^_^ Can't remember if I've played Star Trek.

Oh, that's a good question. I guess I won't, since they're in a separate game and that could be confusing for some people. Also it's a game I don't plan to play or install, so...I guess I'd rather just stick to TPA! ^_^

I see where you're coming from... however, since not everybody buys every TPA game anyway and this ranking you've created doesn't necessarily require your personal vote as well, smbhax, plopping in the new tables won't do any harm whatsoever. Also, considering the route voters use to get to this poll, I'm fairly certain they know about SPA.

Me personally, considering this month, I have no opinion of the latest TPA tables at all, while the latest SPA tables, I'm gaga over and would love to rank 'em.

Yeesh, I just used 'gaga' in a sentence.

I don't have a problem with adding the modern Stern pins either. But I don't think it would be a good idea to have a separate listing for pins that appear in both TPA and SPA. That could cause confusion. I'd only list those once.
But whatever smbhax chooses is ok with me. It's his rankings.

I'm very pro adding the SPA tables. SPA is basically the same game as TPA, only as a separate app for Stern marketing reasons. As Kolchak said, the duplicate tables should be listed only once, of course. I doubt that there'll be many people rating the TPA and SPA version of the same table differently.

I'd say to break it out between data collection and reporting.

In the poll to collect the data, just list the SPA and TPA tables together. So everyone sees each table only once and there's no duplication or discrepancy in data collection.

But when posting the results, break out SPA and TPA separately. SPA-only tables shouldn't be inherently compared against Medieval Madness. But the crossover tables should appear in both lists separately.

(This works as long as there's no significant functional differences between the SPA and TPA versions of a table, but I don't think there are any nor is Farsight likely to do so.)

In real life I only played Star Trek a couple of times with its first release code and I wasn't all that impressed. But I have to agree it is now fantastic. AC/DC is also top notch. Both have deep enough rules to keep you busy for a long time. I also like Mustang more than HHBoy. Not as good as Trek or AC/DC, but definitely worth the price. But the other re-releases don't really add anything from their original TPA release in my opinion.
I'm only speaking of the iOS version as it is the only one I have played.

I'll have you know that I'm actually starting to come around on Mustang! It's fun, I just don't have any love for the theme or art, most of the music is not for me (Lit?? Gross!) and the callouts are super lame, hahaha

I think we are on the same page. The music is so so for me, and callouts are a bit rough. I really like mustangs, but the art doesn't do anything for me either. But I always enjoy playing it. Glad you are having fun with it as well. I think it suffers a bit from being released at the same time as Star Trek and AC/DC. Those are two of the best Stern pins imo.

I agree completely. Star Trek in particular is a pretty close to being a masterpiece. Farsight did a great job with that table.

Has anyone managed to subscribe to their newsletter through the widget down the right-hand side of http://www.sternpinballarcade.com/ ? I've filled it out but hitting "Subscribe" just seems to reload the page with no confirmation about subscribing : P ... and nothing in my inbox yet. Reason I'm asking is because the TPA newsletter is how I know when to add new tables to the survey.

Edit: Huh either by that or an Android app update, but the Stern Pinball Arcade app appears to have been removed from the Google Play store, so that won't work.
