Hey Kol, not sure what you budget is, but I’d recommend getting something with an i5 CPU, which is mid-range as far as gaming is concerned, so more than enough power for a wife laptop (probabaly a bit overkill, but like you said you want something you won’t need to replace for a few years). You can get by with an i3 if you want to save money, but definitely stay away from the Celeron and Pentium CPUs.

Here’s a good deal on a Lenovo with an i5 and touch screen (also has an SSD drive which means you won’t have to worry about the hard drive dying as much)

Here’s a comparable Dell on sale for just a bit more (bigger hard drive and screen). some of it also comes down to preference on looks and feel (some ladies prefer the smaller screens)
