We would rotate each get together for who got to pick the movies, always a double feature. What some people never understood was the concept of a movie being so bad it becomes good. A bad movie just gets boring after a half hour and the enthusiasm in the room falls off a cliff. My three best picks were...

Torque - motorcycle version of Fast & Furious that had us howling with laughter. Every moment is completely over the top, right down to how beer bottles are set down.
Sheena - a stupefyingy dumb movie, made for kids, that features the longest bit of frontal nudity I've ever seen in a PG movie. Like 30 seconds worth.
Megaforce - Had Needham's magnum opus. A movie that is so unintentionally gay, so poorly thought out, and laughably terrible in all the best ways.

I've had the pleasure of watching all of these, though it has been quite a long time ago and they may need to get a revisit soon. The so-bad-it's-good movie barometer is how I gauge people and couples. Thankfully, my wife usually enjoys similar fare, and we have been doing our own MST3000 thing long before that ever existed.

Here are some that younger me thought were awesome (hell yeah for post Apocalypse), but now me (since I have recently watched them again) realizes they have few redeeming qualities beyond nostalgia.

On a similar but different note, when the Duran Duran song came on in A View to a Kill, I had told my wife where the band got their name, and now she wants to watch Barbarella - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062711/ which I haven't seen in 30+ years. There are so many bad but good movies out there, though I'm not sure about some of the newer films that have inorganically grown into "cult-status" like the Room, and Birdemic, and that one "filmmaker" guy (forgot his name) (edit: Neil Breen) that spends way too much time in desert. (not Ishtar )

Oh, there is another strange and odd film you may want to sample if you haven't, Tiptoes - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0316768/ and I'm still amazed at the cast this one has, obviously something is going on behind the scenes we are not privy to.

LEST WE FORGET , dawn service soon . i came across this clip , Captain Tom from England , he has raised 30 million pounds for the NHS , bloody brilliant and i think the song is No. 1 in the charts .

The Ice Pirates! I remember loving that as a young kid in the mid 80’s, but haven’t seen it since. Might have to revisit for the giggles. Ron Perlman is in it, if I recall correctly.

Just watched Spider-man Far from Home. Without the ACDC pinball table I don't think I'd have got the Back in Black by Led Zeppelin joke. Still got 4 MCU films I haven't seen - Thor Ragnarok, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Captain Marvel.

When I was buying it (well using my Sky award to get it for free) I also saw that Black Lightning is a series - character just appeared in Crisis on Infinite Earths that I saw last month and I didn't twig that it was a series - don't think its been broadcast in the UK yet. Batwoman has just started a couple of weeks ago so I'm watching that in the wrong order as well.

Having fun with Langrisser? I’ve never played, but heard good things.

Yeah, working through 1 still and enjoying it. Haven't played a Langrisser game in a hot minute (not counting the 3DS game, which is not to be spoken of). I'm really glad they listened to fans and included the option to switch to the original Urushihara character art instead of the awful generic modern art. They actually give you the option to switch the maps and music to classic as well, but I kept those modern. The modern maps are easier to look at and the remixed OST is decent.

Really I'm just glad the West got another Langrisser release, even if it's just a remake. A lot of fans didn't think we'd ever see another game in the series release outside of Japan after the last one.

So who’s going to be the one to play all the Bond video games from start to finish? Beyond the legendary Goldeneye which I played the snot out of back in its heyday, there were some solid titles during the Gamecube era as well, though I’ve only played bits and pieces of those.

The World is Not Enough for N64 was also good. It just had the bad fortune of being released after GoldenEye and being based on a worse movie. So it gets overlooked.

I like Ragnarok a lot. Miles better than the other 2 Thor movies and Jeff Goldbloom absolutely steals the show. Nothing wrong with those other three you need to watch either.
