No offense, but I'm particularly excited to see the beta of these tables. It feels a little later then usual, and I'm excited to see the emulation!
like the time i put the quarter in the pin and went to plunge the ball and seen that the plunger was busted off. that arcade folded shortly after never got another shot at the pin in the real world. Some of us have been waiting 30 years for HH, though, so the wait is excruciating.

Sean, can you or someone else, please, say: which of current TPA's tables actually have ROM emulation? because in TPA promo materials it is presented the way you can think what all tables have it.
All tables are ROM emulated with the exception of the following 8 tables which are currently scripted :
Big Shot
Black Hole
Black Knight
Central Park
Firepower
Genie
Goin' Nuts
Gorgar
PiN WiZ, I don't understand this from a development point of view. Surely it would be much easier for FarSight to use their ROM emulation tech, rather than continually scripting some of these tables?
ROM emulation for the above 8 tables was not in a stable state at the time of their release.
Sorry, not meaning to de-rail, but I don't understand this either.
You're saying that ROM emulation is stable for the more complex machines but not for the older ones with far simpler rule-sets and mechanics? I don't get it.
EDIT: Also, some of these releases are very recent, and yet ROM emulation is still an issue?
if i have understand Pin Wiz right, it is related to time of release them in PHOF, and they included in TPA without emulation "as is"Also, some of these releases are very recent, and yet ROM emulation is still an issue?
As I understand it, modern chipsets are easier to orchestrate the timing sync (CPU clock speed) on. Older chipsets run at a very low clock speed compared to late 80's and 90's tables, and thus is what makes it so difficult.

Also Haunted House is Gottlieb System 80, the same chipset as Black Hole. Not promising anything but that could turn out to be an improvement many people have wanted.
The game was a playable table on Microsoft Pinball Arcade. Furthermore, Microsoft had a score-limited variation of Haunted House for MPA's Trial Version.
