To PS4 buyers, when are you going to stop buying PS3 packs?

Wait for the 2nd or 3rd redesign. That's my plan of attack. By then I can game cheap.

My only qualm is the fact that I am a PS+ subscriber so I wonder if I can claim the free ps4 games on the service as they go live...

I'm starting to suspect that the PS4 version, which launches with the Season One tables, may not get more tables until Season Two is complete, and then it will get those tables all at once--and in that scenario, they might give a discount on it if you own all the Season Two tables on PS3/Vita, like they're giving on the PS4 base game if you already own all the Season One tables.

So maybe I will stick with getting PS3 tables through the end of Season Two--is that pack 20? Or maybe more like 22? (EDIT: Nope, it's 20 that's the last one.)

Of course its also possible I may not feel like bothering with the PS3 at all one I get a 4--that's how it went for me going from 2 to 3.

Why didn't I see this topic till today? Weird.

So I'm not getting a PS4 any time soon. Like it might be a year or two. Even still, I was debating about getting anymore on the PS3 after Season 2. My thought was, I'd probably jump over to the PC version. Well after playing the PC Beta, I'm not sold on switching over. I like the idea that the PC version will eventually look better than the PS3, but for right now I prefer the look of PS3 over the look that is going on with the PC. I've also discovered I don't like playing TPA with a 360 controller, that I much prefer the Dual Shock 3. The final straw is I so much more enjoy TPA on my big screen while sitting on the couch, as it's so much more comfy on all fronts during a marathon game.

I do admit, upon hearing about the Mega Patch my faith in the PS3 version was renewed slightly. Since we barely know anything about what is going into that, I can't get too excited, but I went from only owning the first 2 packs of the 2nd season to buying the whole season as soon as I heard about it.

Once the PC matches the look of the PS4, I'll probably reevaluate again. Maybe buy one of those Logitech controllers that mimic the DS3 but work simpatico with the PC.

Season two is almost complete anyway but I think FarSight will release the tables as they are ready. Revenue stream is a good thing. No reason to hold back on making your money back on a product when you don't have to.

Well that's the thing, it *is* almost done, so it's not like you'd be holding back the revenue stream for long. When I asked them a week or two ago they said they weren't quite sure how they'd be catching the PS4 up. If they release Season Two all in one bunch, it could push people to splurge on the full bargain collection--vs making it available as piecemeal packs, many of which people might skip over, as some people here have. Also it's a lot less releases to have to manage, which would save time and thus money (although I don't *think* they'll be charged a fee per DLC release on PS4, at least...or hm wait maybe we don't know that). Anyway this is of course just speculation, it'll be interesting to see what they do.

Another thought that I had is that we don't know how long it takes to convert the completed tables to the PS4 version of the table. We also don't know where they are in the conversion process. The second season is almost complete on the other platforms but we don't know when they will be ready for the PS4.

Yeah, although they seemed to get the Season One tables done fairly quickly, at least, and you'd think they'd only have gotten faster at it, however far along they are through Season Two conversions now.

Since we know that the Season One discount on PS4 only requires owning four packs from the season, logically it seems reasonable that the same should apply when they come out with PS4 Season Two, so I could stop buying now, but...well heck I don't have my PS4 yet now do I?

And it certainly takes the sting off of continuing to buy for the PS3 until you do, right?
