I think my top list has changed a lot lately, and I'm especially getting happier with newer Sterns. I think my current top 5 would be:
1. Spider-man
2: LOTR
3. Avatar
4: Black Rose
5. TSPP
Fish Tales and TAF dropped off my list completely, and I finally learned to appreciate TSPP.
Also, Stern tables tend to possess rule sets that are more friendly for home use, and on TPA I'd be able to pursue goals and strategies I could never hope to achieve on the physical tables.
Today I'm lazy and will just concur with Kolchak. Great list. Ok, maybe I would change Atlantis with SM but Atlantis is actually one of the better Gottlieb Games from the infamous late period
My Top 5 Unreleased PBA Tables:
1. Addams Family
2. 8-Ball Deluxe
3. High Speed
4. Royal Flush
5. Doctor Who
My list goes for a lot of the most obvious "targets", I guess...(mohahaha)
Tables like EBD, HS and RF are there because I played them all so much in my youth and loved them, so for me, developing these tables is not "optional".
For me, these 3 tables are MUST-HAVES, and I hope at least two of them, 8-Ball Deluxe, and High Speed, (release this with Aces High, plz???) are coming soon...
Anyway, I think these pins all have a good blend of interesting rulesets and addictive (if not compelling) gameplay, despite not being at the top of the all-time table lists.
I have only played AF a few times, but I can see why it's so popular. This is a premium title that needs to be done soon for the fans, I think, Farsight!
DW is one I've never played but I've seen it in arcades.
I'd instabuy that table if only because I'm a huge fan of the show and would love to try it out on PBA.
I left off a few modern releases, such as Indiana Jones: The Pinball Adventure, Lord of the Rings, and Tron Legacy, from the list.
Those three tables are ones that would no doubt require some licensing money, and would need to be Kickstarted, much in the way that ST:TNG and T2 were.
I don't have a lot of machines in my PBA iPad Table collection as yet.
I've mostly bought machines that I played when I was a kid or like/love the idea of:
-Arabian Nights
-Space Shuttle/White Water
-Terminator 2: Judgment Day
My next planned PBA table purchases include:
-Star Trek: The Next Generation
-Medieval Madness
-Twilight Zone
I'm also tempted by the Elvira and the Party Monsters table, plus a couple of others, like Pinbot, based on comments from people here in the TBA Fan forums.
I'm looking forward to seeing what I hope will be a cool blend of both older and newer premium tables from Farsight over the next few months...
It's not that good, sadly. And SMB is as good as any other Premier you've seen. The worst thing about it? The horrible Peach imitation. "THE BUMPERS MARIO, THE BUMPERS!"
