Totally UNofficial "Top 10 of What's Left" - *DATA EAST - LICENSED & NON-LICENSED*

NOT officially sanctioned by FarSight... just for fun/curiosity... what are your TOP 10 licensed DATA EAST tables of what's left, that you would like to see on The Pinball Arcade?

There were so few total tables of Data East, that I was able to fit most everything they've done (including a pair of prototypes just for fun) into this one poll.

Info about each of the choices can be found at the links below, thanks to the IPDB...

Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, The (1993)
Back to the Future (1990)
Batman (1991)
Checkpoint (non-license, 1991)
Guns ‘N Roses (1994)
Hook (1992)
Jurassic Park (1993)
King Kong (prototype, 1990)
Laser War (non-license, 1987)
Last Action Hero (1993)
Lethal Weapon 3 (1992)
Monday Night Football (1989)
Phantom of the Opera (1990)
Playboy 35th Anniversary (1989)
RoboCop (1989)
Secret Service (non-license, 1988)
Simpsons, The (1990)
Star Trek (1991)
Star Wars (1992)
Tales From the Crypt (1993)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1991)
Time Machine (non-license, 1988)
Torpedo Alley (non-license, 1988)
Total Recall (prototype, 1990)
Who’s Tommy Pinball Wizard, The (1994)
WWF Royal Rumble (1994)

Interested to see what the results will be. Just thought this would be fun as Season Three winds down and Season Four approaches. :)

Honestly, the only Sega/Data East I really want to play again is Jurassic Park. Actually now I look at the list again, maybe Tommy - but that's it.

I'd love to find another JP somewhere in the wild, but I also know that after 20 years it's likely to be broken. The tech who visited the pub where I played JP the most back then, was always fixing something when he we was there, and T-Rex is about as flaky a playfield toy as I've ever encountered. Not to mention the Control Room, which for such an essential sensor, breaks way too often.

This is an easy one:

- Back to the Future
- Batman
- Guns N' Roses
- Hook
- Last Action Hero
- Lethal Weapon 3
- Phantom of the Opera
- Star Wars (I was torn between this average table and "Jurassic Park". I really want a Star Wars table though, so I went with this.)
- Tales from the Crypt
- WWF Royal Rumble

OK, this is easier than Stern poll.
-laser war
-checkpoint
-tales from the crypt
-tommy
-the simpsons
-back to the future
-batman (but SEGA's Batman is much better)
-hook
-leathal weapon 3
-phantom of the opera
-star wars

A bit more difficult, but I did pick ten. My top three:

Star Trek
Jurassic Park
Star Wars

I voted also for WWF & TFTC. It will be interesting to see what we actually get from this list when all is said and done. If any...

The lack of major votes for "Lethal Weapon 3" and "Last Action Hero" is just maddening, esp when tables like "Tommy" are getting more votes.

Insanity.

Tommy is a great pin, I don't know about LAH but LW3 isn't something I would put before Tommy.

Glad to see RoboCop with a respectable showing. Kind of a low score for Lethal Weapon 3 at the moment, though. I expected it to be one of the top tables in this poll.

If it's unofficial why vote

I specified "unofficial" because I didn't want to step on any toes with FarSight or mods here at the forum.

Just figured it'd be more for fun, while also providing some useful info for FarSight in the process.

If you don't like how the poll was done, it's simple... don't vote. ;)
