It's so nice to be able to finally get in and vote and check out some polls and some conversation!

I haven't read through any threads yet, and I may be in the minority when it comes to certain thoughts about how pinball is represented on this app.

I play on my iPad. I was thrilled early on, because there was this great mix of nice old tables and more recent ones. Now the focus seems to really be on 90s tables and gimmicky tables.

Two of my favorite releases are Genie and Flight 2000. I remember playing these in the arcade, and the gameplay is, in a way, very different. I had asked on the Facebook page about Meteor. I was totally hooked on that one. Watching video really brings back memories.

Sure, games are fun when they talk and do silly things, but sometimes just having simple challenges like knocking down targets in order or other things really makes a game come together nicely. Having games that seem to rely on hitting the same 1 or 2 ramp shots can get old real quick.

It's a shame that in the 4 years since this thread was made, only one table got added, and it's that coma patient of a game High Roller Casino.

Well, to be fair, think anything from '86 on up is the current Stern stable while anything before that is Stern Electronics which was Gary Stern's father's company. The only table from that era in TPA is Flight 2000 and wasn't brought over to SPA when they did the cross platform move, so I don't believe Stern has much reason to promote these older tables. I've had Quicksilver, Seawitch, Catacomb, Star Gazer, Stingray, Stars, Nine Ball, Meteor, Big Game, Galaxy, Dracula, Magic, Hot Hand and Cheetah in my weekly wish list for quite awhile but kind of losing hope in seeing any of them in TPA.

I'm aware. Though by going back to '86 I assume you're including Data East, who themselves began their pinball division by purchasing Stern Electronics' assets. Data East then sold to Sega, and in turn Sega's pinball division was sold to Gary Stern to start Stern Pinball. What a circular journey.

But SP likes to mostly ignore SE's existence these days, they don't even mention SE in their corporate history. So yeah, Flight 2000 is probably all we're ever going to get.
