Wow, that's the first time I've heard a pro getting a better rating then an LE/Premium. However, the pervious state I lived didn't have any good arcades with a variety of pinball machines. Therefore, I haven't been in the "know" for quite a while. Thanks for sharing! I'm going to see if it's available to play around me.

I prefer the Game of Thrones pro version as well. I also like the Transfirmers pro version over the LE.

That's really good to know because I would have always thought the LE/Premium was the way to go. However, I only have recent experience with Star Trek: LE and Spider-Man:Vault Edition. Looking forward to Transformers Pro now. I downloaded that app I mentioned earlier and saw one close to home.

Thanks Kolchak357 and EldarOfSuburbia

Try them for yourself and see what you think. Most of the time I do prefer the premium/LE version. Like AC/DC for example. I much prefer the prem/LE version of that one. Some it doesn't make much of a difference to me, like Metallica or Star Trek.

I just started listening to your podcast so I'm curious as to what other tables you would like to see come to TPA before BBB that won't have to many licensing problems.

Rollergames is my number 1 must get. NBA Fastbreak is my white whale. After those two, I'm not particular. The Shadow would be a great addition, I truly think Vector should be included, World Cup Soccer needs to happen too. Bonzai Run is my "just because" pick, and any other System 11 table with Mousin' Around and Swords of Fury being faves. On the SPA end of things, I really want Metallica, and would like LotR just so I can figure out how to play that thing at league tourneys!

Those tables would all be great additions especially World Cup Soccer. I played that this past weekend for the first time and had a blast! I have yet to play Mousin' Around or Swords of Fury. I am also very hopefully for Metallica and LotR to become available in the new Stern Pinball Arcade app. I've just started playing LotR and could see myself learning to master that table since I haven't found a Metallica close to home. NBA Fastbreak is so much fun. I always play a couple games of that when I get a chance.

I'm impressed with Vector after watching a video. That looks like great fun that could take a long time to master.

Most of these I've played at the three Expo's I go to (Pinball Expo, Midwest Gaming Classic, and Vintage Flipper World). But a few I've played back in the 80s-90s and in the last few years. And there's a few retrocedes around here that allowed me to play some pinball. Listing all the ones I have played with some comments.

What I've played:

1. TotAN - Only seen it at Vintage Flipper World. Don't think I've seen it at any other expo's I go to
2. Black Hole
3. Theatre Of Magic
4. Ripley's
5. Medieval Madness - Had one at my college. Played the crap out of it.
6. Bride of Pin*Bot - and the 2.0 version
7. Cirqus Voltaire
8. Fun House
9. Monster Bash - Only seen it at VFW. Would think it would be popular to bring to the other Expo's.
10. Gorgar
11. Black Knight
12. Creature from the Black Lagoon
13. Harley Davidson - Not sure which revisions I've played but it's been at a few shows
14. Taxi
15. Elvira and the Party Monsters - This was new at VFW this year and the first time I played it
16. No Good Gofers
17. Big Shot - Played multiple versions including Hot Shot, Pro Pool, Pinball Pool, and Mission Pinball's custom version of turning Big Shot in to an SS
18. Scared Stiff
19. Twilight Zone
20. ST:TNG - Another one I played a lot in college
21. Attack From Mars
22. Dr Dude
23. Firepower - Firepower II as well (not as good)
24. Cactus Canyon - and Cactus Canyon Continued
25. Central Park - Had this and Hurdy Gurdy at Tom Taylor's Tour
26. White Water
27. Space Shuttle - Shows up at a lot of Expo's and at a Retrocade not too far away
28. Centaur
29. Pin*Bot
30. Champion Pub - Only seen it at VFW
31. Whirlwind
32. Flight 2000 - And the Gametron custom kit version
33. Goin' Nuts - Someone local has been bringing it to the local expo's along with Q-Bert Quest. So awesome to have an opportunity to play these in person but still terrible games.
34. Terminator 2 - Played this a ton in college
35. Haunted House - Played this as a kid and it turned me off of pinball machines. Looked so awesome but no fun.
36. Tee'd Off - Recently made it to an Expo. First time I played it
37. Cue Ball Wizard
38. El Dorado City Of Gold - played every version of El Dorado but the Canada Dry one. Although could have possibly played it as a kid somewhere - like a 7 Eleven.
39. Fish Tales
40. Black Rose - played it for the first time this year at VFW. Was a late arrival to the show and was in mint condition.
41. Black Knight 2000
42. WHO Dunnit?
43. High Speed
44. Junk Yard
45. High Roller Casino
46. Diner
47. Bram Stoker Dracula
48. Phantom of the Opera
49. Party Zone
50. Earth Shaker
51. Starship Troopers
52. The Addam's Family - just never seen/played the Gold version
53. Cyclone
54. Jack*Bot
55. Xenon
56. Road Show - Made it to Midwest Gaming Classic and was the first time I got to play it
57. Safe Cracker
58. High Speed 2
59. F-14
60. Frankenstein
61. No Fear
62. Judge Dredd
63. El Dorado (EM)
64. Fireball - Along with Fireball II which is a fun SS
65. Hurricane
66. Last Action Hero
67. TX-Sector
68. Indianapolis 500 - first time playing it at VFW this year
69. Dr Who
70. Star Trek
71. Ghostbusters
72. AC/DC

Missing:

1. Genie - Never seen it. Really want to play it
2. Class of 1812 - Think it was supposed to be at VFW this year but don't think it made an appearance
3. Victory - Never seen it. Don't care if I do
4. Lights Camera Action - Would at least like to check it out
5. Rescue 911 - Another one I'd like to try at some point

So pretty good. Tried 72 tables out of 77.

I recently got to play a Judge Dredd and got absolutely destroyed on it. Table was slightly warped to the left so any misses went straight to the left outline but man, I just sucked at it.

Got to spend time at the Silverball Museum in NJ. So most of this is one day of pinball, Theater of Magic I got to play at a more local location (sadly Medieval Madness at that local site had a broken flipper).

Genie - In an arcade you really can't hear the music. I don't think TPA gets the wide body feel of this machine. I liked it better in person.

Circus Voltaire - great table! Feels relatively similar to the TPA version.

Centaur - This table was much easier in person. I completed The progressive target setup in the top left in my first game. The balls drain much more quickly in TPA... for me at least.

Attack from Mars - I had a real hard time getting the feel for the ramps, seems much easier in TPA. Managed total anhillation only once, but hitting the saucer was much easier and less risky of a Drainer. I max scored the machine top score (not the overall official score), but only managed a meager 6 billion, which is 20 or so billion below my max (also had five balls!), so that probably tells that story a bit.

Medieval Madness - took a few games but I started to get the feel for these ramps. Was able to do better in multiball here than Attack from Mars. A lot easier to hit the castle! For both of these related titles TPA is a lot more generous with the bonus multiplier v bumper relationship.

Funhouse seemed like a relatively even recreation.

Xenon - the table seemed to play much slower. The ball also didn't go into the top hole often. Was a bit harder to hit the ramps.

Whirlwind, didn't seem as fast in the table, a bit more controllable.

Whitewater - same as above.

Junkyard - much easier to get the ball to hit the crane and even go behind into the junkyard. otherwise, the experience seemed similar.

Gorgar - the targets seemed much easier to aim and hit in real life. Takes so much more effort (read luck) in TPA.

High Speed - I'd say my experience matches in TPA and RL.

Scared Stiff - barely played it. Only had so much time.

Safe Cracker - Seemed like a similar experience. Not being able to hear the game did detract. The table is really small. Felt more like a toy, only played one or two games.

Theater of Magic - love this table, and was able to get a decent score eventually after getting the feel of the loops and ramps. Really hard to play without hearing the sound. That table is remarkable in RL, for the effects. Think the ramps may be a little easier to hit in TPA, but otherwise a good recreation.

Black Knight - no where as easy to lock the balls up top in RL. I think the game it rather boring so only played once or twice. But I think it was an honest recreation.

Cyclone - The skill shot is about 1 zillion times easier in RL. The spinner also seems more random.

Got to play some real pinball again at a museum in PA, only a couple of hours though.

First time with Champions Pub. A bit easier with the outlanes, but the punches don't seem to count as much. Didn't get past the first guy in several tries. Jumping rope a lot easier in real life than PS3.

Black Hole for the first time. Umm... that table plays nothing like the TPA. Got to the lower playing section three times. I locked a ball or drained almost immediately.

Firepower and Space Shuttle was fun. Played similar to the TPA tables.

Jacks Open was interesting, but I prefer Royal Flush I think.

They had Genie but the playfield allowed the the ball to go from the plunger to the upper left playfield, which I don't recall from TPA or the other place.

Big League (I think) isn't on TPA, but I really enjoyed this old Gottlieb version of football!

Played another Centaur and convinced the TPA drains too easy.

Played Medieval Madness. Taking down the castles was a piece of cake, only had a few drains from rebounds there. Getting the ramps was difficult. The ball lacked the energy to go the whole way.

Here are the TPA real tables I have played:

* Attack From Mars -- Relative owns one.
* Star Trek:TNG -- Relative owns one.
* Eight Ball Deluxe
* Gorgar
* Ripley's Believe it or Not
* The Addam's Family
* Black Hole
* Xenon
* Twilight Zone
* Firepower
* Haunted House

In each case I thought TPA captured at least 80% of the essence of the real tables. That's probably the most that should ever be expected from a digital simulation. In some cases it's hard to tell how close TPA is to the real thing just due to the fact that the TPA recreations represent well maintained tables. The "Gorgar" table I played, for example, was in bad need of a restoration.

For some strange reason, I've never played a real Medieval Madness. I saw one at an arcade once; that's about it.

It occurred to me that there were a few others I played.

Bride of Pinbot - Interesting play on this table. I think the skill shot was a bit off. I found it relatively easy to do the heart ramp, but found it harder to do the ramp to get to the face.

Paragon - Played a couple games on here, just because. I started to realize that most pinball backtops have softcore porn on them. Okay, maybe that is harsh... how about Harlequin book covers for men.

Pin-Bot - Played this for the first time, a couple of games. Plays like TPA, it seems.

2 hours just isn't enough time to play pinball!

I have not played a ton, but here is my list along with observations of differences in TPA (fun thread, BTW)

Creature from the Black Lagoon - I am just as bamboozled by the right side ball release in real life as in TPA. Obvious difference is the vacuum ramps in TPA, but it's not that far off. Really fun game, hoping it's "de-vacuumed" in the current refactoring work.

Black Knight - we had one at my office for a while, in real life it's a fun, fast, brutal 80s game. TPA feels like it's an entirely different video game.

Bride of Pinbot - just played this once, it's harder in real life.

Terminator 2 - Pretty good conversion in TPA, I'd love to see the new flipper physics applied so you can do drop catches.

Pin Bot - love this one, my TPA experience really helped me be effective on the real game. Same comment as above, would be good to have flipper physics updated on the TPA table, I think it would make it even better.

Space Shuttle - the only table I remember playing as a kid, at the skating rink probably right around the time it came out. All I remember from then is thinking the space shuttle toy was really cool, putting in a quarter and having all three balls drain in about 15 seconds, and then going back to play donkey kong.

High Roller Casino - fun game in TPA and real life, pretty good digital version

Who Dunnit - fun, good conversion, another where I'd like to see flipper physics for drop catches

High Speed - way harder in real life

Black Knight 2000 - good conversion in TPA

Fish Tales - I finally got a chance to play fish tales in real life and I am pretty good at it, thanks to TPA practice. Very good digital version.

Addams Family - classic in both platforms

Cyclone - this table is way harder in real life, the shots are super tight and on the one I played, the plunger was way weaker than TPA.

The Getaway - good conversion, too easy in TPA but still fun
