This is the master issues list for No Good Gofers. This thread is maintained to aid FarSight in exterminating gameplay bugs, art issues, and sound problems from NGG.

This thread is locked to keep it clean and focused on actual issues, as opposed to opinions about such issues. Report art issues in the Art forum, and all other issues in a new thread in this table's forum. I will add newly-reported issues to this thread at regular intervals. In addition, each bug has a link to the thread it was reported in; discussion of bugs should take place there.

Latest Updates:

23 May 2013
  • Added quantum tunneling gameplay issue # 16-013.

Status key:
  • New - Issues that are newly reported.
  • Unknown - Issues from a long time ago that have not been followed up in a while so that no one really knows what happened to them.
  • Confirmed / Open - Issues that either I've personally reproduced, that so many people have reported that the existence of the issue is not in doubt, and/or that members have posted a demonstration (like a YouTube clip) of the issue.
  • Acknowledged - Issues that have been acknowledged by FarSight, but for which no fix exists yet.
  • Fix Pending - Issues that have fixed by FarSight, but the fix is in testing or submission process and is not yet available to players.
  • Fixed - Issues that have been resolved by FarSight. Note that not all platforms receive bug fixes at the same time, so an issue that is "Fixed" may still be unresolved on some platforms.
  • Could Not Reproduce - Issues that were reported, but the issue has not been successfully reproduced.
  • Working as Designed - Issues that are bugs or quirks in the actual table, as well as other issues that result from design or licensing constraints.

GAMEPLAY ISSUES:

16-001: Playing multiple consecutive games causes various issues
First reported: 05 Oct 2012
Description: Playing consecutive games without exiting to table select menu and returning sometimes causes various issues, such as multiple balls in the shooter lane or camera locked to plunger view.
Devices: iOS
Status: Could not reproduce on TPA v1.2.5

16-002: Starting a game after locking one or two balls adds that many extra balls to the shooter lane
First reported: 28 Sep 2012
Description: Ending a game with 1 ball locked will feed 2 balls to the plunger at start of next game. Ending a game with 2 balls locked will feed 3 balls to plunger at the start of the next game. Neither "multiball" is a real one, and will lead to a confused ROM and unexpected behavior.
Devices: Android
Status: Could not reproduce on TPA v1.2.5. May have been fixed as of 17 Oct 2012.

16-003: Bud gets stuck in the raised position during Ripoff Multiball
First reported: 07 Oct 2012
Description: Bud becomes stuck in the raised position during Ripoff Multiball. He still registers hits, but will not retract.
Devices: iOS
Status: Could not reproduce on TPA v1.2.5.
Notes: There is a possibility the physical table exhibits similar behavior.

16-004: Various issues regarding locks and stuck balls
First reported: 05 Oct 2012
Description: See linked thread for details.
Devices: Android, iOS
Status: Unknown

16-005: Ball phases through upper playfield from below
First reported: 17 Oct 2012
Description: A shot to the center ramp just as Bud's head is emerging pushes the ball through the upper playfield plastic and into the Hole in One shot. This would be physically impossible on an actual machine.
Devices: Android
Status: Unknown

16-006: Camera does not move to plunger view when plunging a new ball
First reported: 02 Nov 2012
Description: The camera frequently does not return to plunger view when launching a new ball.
Devices: PS3
Status: Unknown

16-007: Flippers go unresponsive during Hole-in-One Challenge
First reported: 04 Nov 2012
Description: In the middle of the Hole-in-One Challenge, the flippers may suddenly become unresponsive. The entire table may become unresponsive once all balls in play drain.
Devices: iOS
Status: Unknown

16-008: Besting the top high score does not award Game Center achievement
First reported: 16 Nov 2012
Description: Achieving the top high score does not award the corresponding achievement in Game Center.
Devices: iOS
Status: Unknown

16-009: Last captive ball hit fails to add a ball in Ripoff under certain conditions
First reported: 25 Nov 2012
Description: When regulation multiball and Ripoff Multiball are both running, making the fifth captive ball hit (which should add a ball for Ripoff) right before the second-to-last ball in play drained does not add a ball and both multiballs end, even though the "Ripoff!" quote is given.
Devices: iOS
Status: Unknown

16-010: Quitting a game with the wheel spinning may misalign wheel awards next game
First reported: 25 Nov 2012
Description: Quitting the game while the wheel is spinning (like during Short Circuit) may cause the wheel awards given in the next game to not correspond to what the wheel physically indicates. (For example, the game will award Speed Golf while Speed Golf is 3 spaces left of the arrow indicator.)
Devices: iOS
Status: Confirmed, open as of 22 Mar 2013

16-011: Two-player games sometimes do not allow second player to play
First reported: 31 Dec 2012
Description: Occasionally starting a two-player game will not allow the second player to play, but the second player's score is displayed as 00 after the end of the game.
Devices: PS3
Status: Unknown

16-012: Locks reject shots excessively
First reported: 05 Nov 2012
Description: Locks reject shots more often than seems proper, even allowing for the possibility the real table rejects a lot as well. In extreme cases, 7 or 8 solid shots to the Buzz lock are all rejected.
Devices: iOS, PS3
Status: Confirmed, open as of 22 Mar 2013

16-013: Ball phases through left flipper
First reported: 22 May 2013
Description: The ball occasionally will fall through the left flipper near the pivot point.
Devices: PS3
TPA Version: PS3 v2.11
Status: New
