Sorry, Mark, but unless you know how much the license is, and how much FarSight normally pays to license something, you're not really in a position to determine whether it would need a Kickstarter or not.
It's not wise to get lippy with the admin.
The subject of your post is "13" iPad rumors?" If you want to discuss rumors of a 13" iPad, it doesn't belong in the area for discussing the game on iOS. Do you want to discuss synching the game between two iPads so one could be used as a back glass...
The iOS forum is meant to discuss the game on iOS, that's why it's under "Platform Specific" with the description "Questions and comments on devices Pinball Arcade will run on, including any platform-specific bugs." This relates to iPads in general, not the game, so I moved it to the Off Topic area.
Definitely not. There's an excellent scratch-resistant coating on the discs. I sat at a presentation at Panasonic where they went over the coating, and I asked one of the people for a disc, and a pen, then proceeded to scratch the thing. It took a lot of effort to make a scratch on the disc. I...
They were smart not to include Shatner's face on the table. Probably reduced the licensing fees by a ton of money.
Now, the question of licensing... Here's what IMDB lists for the show:
Production Companies
Arnold Shapiro Productions
CBS Entertainment Production
MTM Enterprises...
This thread has gone off the rails (which is funny because it started after taking another off track). I'm going to close it for a little bit so everyone can take a breath and relax. It'll be open later.
I could be wrong, but I think the files on Granner's site are much higher quality than what you'd find on the ROM for the game, which explains why they sound so much better.
Edit: here's the info from that page:
So you can see that this quality isn't part of the ROM that's part of the game...
I busted a cleaning lady stealing from the guests at a surf camp I went to in Dominican Republic using my laptop and a demo piece of software. It was pretty awesome. The cops were coming to arrest her, but sadly we had to leave before they arrived. The owners of the place were THRILLED that I...
All the "image enhancement" posts have been moved to a new thread in the Off-Topic area. Let's keep this for discussion involving the T2 Kickstarter campaign.
I keep meaning to watch this, and Day Watch (the follow up from 2006). There was a third book, but they've never turned it into a movie. I own both the movies on Blu-ray (and have a Russian-speaking wife), yet I just haven't found the time to watch them.
I've recently fallen in love with a number of non-English TV shows, and figured since we have such an international userbase here, maybe others could make suggestions of TV shows to check out.
My interests are usually with crime dramas, as I find they translate well to an international audience...
I think you can remove a pledge within the last 24 hours, but not if it would cause the project to drop lower than the funded amount. That's my understanding.
Sounds like FarSight should by multiple machines when they decide to do a table. Fix them up, then sell them when the prices go up to help fund more tables.
Well, there are two ways to add DLC to a PS3 game.
1) You release the DLC as a large download that hooks into the original game.
2) You update the original game to include the DLC, then offer an unlock to access the content.
#2 is the "best" way to do it, as it allows any of the content to be...
I'm just guessing, as I don't have the Mac version, but they probably store the settings in ~/Library/Preferences. Look for com.farsight.... and that should be the settings file. Like I said, this is just a guess, but it's based on where other apps store the preferences and how they name them.
