The thing I've found most interesting in this thread, is that the harshest critics of the XBone are the people that list that they own a 360 already. That's not good for MS at all.
The Sony forum is going nuts with people reporting issues with the firmware 4.45 update. DO NOT UPDATE YOUR PS3!

Well, the screen would have to be in sync for any DMD game that has a mini-game. It would be pretty cool to have, and something I'd be willing to pay for to support development (since I can't see it being a free update - too specialized).
Were you connected to an HDTV? Using the Yellow/Red/White cables means you'd only get an SD picture, so you'll definitely get a better picture using an HDMI cable.
Sony killed it last night. The "lending" video was absolutely hilarious. I had a friend over to watch the presentation, and he hadn't followed the XBone news to know why everyone was clapping so much last night, "Dude, why are they clapping for something that's standard on all consoles like...
We've run a few official polls for FarSight. They supply us with the choices, and the winning table is made in the game. This is unofficial because FarSight didn't supply us with the table names, and there's no guarantee that any if these tables will be released in the game, but the hope is...
They'll allow them, but leave it up to the publisher whether there are fees involved. I've heard from a connected friend that Sony will do the same thing when it comes to used games.
I have to wonder how long it'll be before Microsoft's authentication servers are hit by a hacking group...
I've been reading (off and on - mostly off), David Attenborough's "Life on Air" biography. It's filled with fascinating tales of his travels around the world to film material for his shows. Really, really good stuff.
It doesn't have to be an ad on the game console though. They could send advertising to your house in the form of coupons, or they could email it to you, or they could work it into their interactive TV thing... so many opportunities to get your eyeballs on the products they want to push.
Just think what they could do with that microphone. Collect audio for shows you're watching (a moot point, since they want you watching TV through the system), but they could also collect data on movies, or other things going on in your place. Maybe recording conversations to look for brand...
Curious what books other members are reading right now. I have a few series on the go:
Reacher - Lee Child's story about an ex-MP who finds himself in trouble. They made it into a movie, with Tom Cruise playing Reacher, which is hilarious because the character is 6'5" and 22-250 lbs. Read the...
You should read a book called "A Guest in the Jungle." It's a fun story about a lawyer who goes to the Amazon, and has quite an adventure. It's a pretty quick read.
Glad to hear you're alright :D
