There's absolutely no guarantee the flippers in the smaller pic are positioned correctly. The right flipper looks slightly steeper than the left even. Not saying the flippers on the TPA table are absolutely correct but you can't just compare to a random table vid screenshot.
Pro mode is kinda good if you want to practice tournament mode and without extra balls if you might play a real tourney some day.
Also the two South Park tables from zen/pinball fx for 1.69 euros (about $1.50 ??) is a steal and a must buy if you don't have them!!
I'm not a big fan of...
Oh come on you can do it. It's not that hard to get letters. And going through continents is easy too. If you hold the ball on the right flipper, the backhand to the right ramp (which lights the scoop for next continent) is very easy, like Eldar said. When you start a game you have Europe lit...
Not only are huge scores boring because of grinding long games - they're boring because you want to avoid every shot, plunge, kickout or whatever that has the slightest risk of draining. During multiballs, you want to trap one or more balls and keep looping or ramping with the other flipper...
Pretty much everyone in my pin club has aborted pinball arcade. There was a buzz goin but it's long gone. Whenever I say this or that table is out, they shrug their shoulders and say like yeah it would be fun without the gamebreaking bugs maybe. Now it's not worth it.
99% of people who tried...
Yeah CV seems to have the most performance trouble with DX11 lighting.
If you're using zoomed in camera, try the one the furthest away. The more zoomed in cam view, the more it seems prone to lagging, on all tables.
Yeah, VR to me seems to still be in a baby stage. Right now it's more of the immediate coolness effect than the actual overall quality. The big companies just want something to show off at the next trade show, to create a buzz, pretty much like the concept cars of car tradeshows. All flash, no...
I play quite a lot. Pinclub 10 minutes bike ride from me, 22 pins and good rotation of pins. Only non-dmd now is whirlwind. Every friday is beer night, never miss it, then we have monthly tourneys. I go there couple days a week on average.
Then the local pool joint/arcade is also as close, they...
Geez, another pseudo-meta theoretical discussion about real pinball.
Maybe in a closed lab environment in vacuum it cant be done, but in the real world I do it all the time. It's not as easy as in TPA but not very hard. Just go try it yourself.
The way I usually do it is a series of quick small...
In case someone missed it, on pc, if you turn ball reflection "off" (in launch configuration utility where you set graphics and stuff before you launch game) some balls look much clearer and vivid and you can easily play even with dark and black balls. Some look really bright and blown out but...
Another fun tourney! I really enjoyed playing CP and FT, fast and dangerous tables!
Congrats to voof, pinwiz45b and Morgs sneaking in at third, right on mate!
Ok, that sounds promising. I use keyboard. I have the ctrl button mapped to plunger which I used for shooting torpedoes. Hmm maybe I'll try different mapping see if it helps.
Edit: Yes thanks!! No remapping needed but just using flipper button/key instead of plunger button/key made a world of...
