It seems I've once again misjudged how easy my clues were, but maybe this one will make things a bit clearer: the villain I have in mind is known for his dangerous spin punches.
OK, I really thought this one was right across the plate, but I apparently am terribad at giving clues, so here's another one to help you along: the villain I have in mind hails from Hollywood, CA.
That is correct, sir! I apologize for the long turnaround on this one, but between PAPA, a terrible cold and the start of Collegiate Chorale, I haven't had much free time recently. What dark secrets does Prince Lyon hold? The answer lies below:
21. Prince Lyon of Grado (Fire Emblem: The...
My guess is that the new software was judged to make DE Star Wars more appealing than Star Wars Trilogy; however, I do agree with you that SWT should have at least been given a chance in the Premium Licensed poll.
I think you're getting your wires crossed on the classic table polls—EBD came in second to Centaur in the classic Bally poll, while Flight 2000 won a completely different poll dedicated to classic Sterns.
Hrm? Personally, I think Stargate easily trounces either BBBB or Popeye in every possible way. In fact, I'd wager that I would play almost any Premier over those two decks without any hesitation and that Premier's best handily outclass the mid-level B/W decks (i.e., Hurricane, Junkyard, Party...
Actually, I'm not so sure—there were some third-party Mario spinoff titles on PCs in the early '90s and The Pokemon Company, a Nintendo subsidiary, released a Pokedex app on iOS a few months back. Thus, I believe that Nintendo could at least be talked into allowing Gottlieb's Super Mario Bros...
If my memory of pinball history serves, Sam Stern bought them out around 1977 or so and turned them into Stern Electronics, so the rights to those tables should rest with the Stern Pinball license (we already know hat the Stern Electronics license rests with Stern Pinball, since Flight 2000...
Indeed! Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we also have (only going by tables already in TPA) emulation of System 11, Steen Electronics' M-200, most of the Williams early solid-state MPUs, System 1, System 80 and Bally's AS-2518-35 (the MPU Centaur uses). If FarSight are really looking...
In my short time as a pinball fan, one of the most consistent things I've noticed is that almost nobody has anything good to say about Premier-era Gottlieb. Stargate is widely loved and a few others (mainly Big Hurt, Class of 1812, Freddy, Lights, Camera, Action! and Street Fighter II) have...
Count me in! I probably won't be there until 8:45-9 tomorrow night (I'm taking public transit from NJ to Pittsburgh), but if anyone wants to track me down, my preregistration number is 333. Wish me luck in qualifying for C Division (spoiler alert: I'm going to fail miserably at this)! Also...
A.S.K. Homework's Zaccaria Pinball app has garnered quite the following on these forums, so I was wondering if anyone would like to see another app along the same lines for a different manufacturer, whether by A.S.K. Homework, FarSight, Silverball or somebody else altogether. Once I've gotten a...
What's wrong with SF2? It actually looks like a really good shooter's game. Granted, Car Crunch is WAY too easy with a standard-size pinball, the BG is probably one of the bottom 10 of all time and the game is borderline unplayable if the flippers are anything less than tip-top, but if you...
I'm a bit surprised, actually–if I'm guessing your age correctly, you should have been in the target market for a Game & Watch while they were still being manufactured, albeit in the tail end of that era. Here's a good site to get an overview of the Game & Watch line. Also, I highly recommend...
I completely agree. I also wouldn't count out RCT, either–it seems to have some strong support here, especially after Gary Stern's Freudian slip concerning that table. The road to Pinball Power won't be an easy one for it, though–almost any table here could hold its own in the field of 96...
Well, I was trying to keep this in the realm of something that FS could realistically do with what they've managed to do already in terms of emulation, to say nothing of the Kickstarters you'd need for those two (I hope that the bands prove reasonable, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it).
Hmm...
Before I start in earnest, I would like to note that 'Stern' is being used in its broadest sense here, incorporating not merely Stern Pinball, but also Stern Electronics, Data East Pinball and Sega Pinball. Anyway, I got the idea for an all-Stern season in light of how well Flight 2000 has gone...
Given Nightwing's reference to "the 1998 abomination," I don't think they're counting that one. It does look like a fun player, though, especially given that it's a Sega.
Actually, Flight 2000 received less than a quarter of all votes cast in the classic Stern poll. Personally, I would have opted for more tables and multiple votes, like in the six semi-official polls that started running last month, but that's just me.
