I voted a new engine but... who does a new anything these days eh? If the do a severe rewrite I count it as a 'new' engine.
There is nothing wrong rewriting parts of the old, optimize and add. Only when you are adding without optimizing it could get spaghetti like.
Comment your code like...
yeah, probably not. My reasoning was thinking of the PC side of things - even though I don't think anyone would call a Stern digital table an AAA game the standalone game price is 10 for a cheap game, 20-30 for a middle game and 50+ for a big game.
That is my gut feeling but I hope I'm wrong
This is fixed on the PC version.
It was a sound sample that triggered the premature ending of game (like real life you know... but different).
Hopefully Oct2 with the release of the patch to some of the consoles it will be fixed there too?
I really like RBION, kinda reminds me of Indy J. :D
I voted 8 seasons or more and here is my reasoning after gut feeling and remembering what I've read and heard:
1. People are still clamoring for lots of tables and there are more good tables still to do in all segments (EM's, SS etc.)
2. Bobby seems positive about it.
3. Correct me if I'm wrong...
I want to thank SYT again for doing this great tournament - Huzzah -
Congratz switch3flip on those points, not a bad start at all.
Silly amazing scores on BSD!
I know I have to adjust my camera angle a little because just now I feel I got some problems finding the shots (excuses excuses...)...
Thanks for the tourny SYT!
I waited too long as usual, not very professional :P
I'm pretty happy with the scores anyway.
CV - played just 1 game since I reached circus and time is of a premium right now - 58 437 850
DrD - 11 494 590
LCA - I don't mind this Gottlib at all :) - 7 386 470
BSD -...
I think Zaphod is thinking a few degrees slope angle. Getting 30FPS instead of 60FPS is more than a few degrees ;)
Love all your tech talk Zaphod - hope Farsight is listening (need tough tables and easy tables - 2 score boards for each)(and tourny settings for SYT too).
Funny... I have a visitor this weekend :/
But... Playing a quick tourny would be the perfect opportunity to show TPA!
Yup... Adapt and improve (I really need to improve).
Cheers!
Gosh, I didn't even make one table :P And even though I am not that good I still want harder tables - what am I, a masochist?
Nice list invitro - the database master indeed!
Amiga pinball! Funny how when I played pinball on the Amiga it didn't drive me out to the arcades but TPA does make me look for pinball now? Just shows that recreating tables is breathing life into the real thing too.
Don't know about the quote - Bon Scott? :)
No TPA on PC? 360 TPA seems...
You got too specialist a standards my friend.
Of those you listed Mary S. Frankenstein is the next table. Maybe we'll get Last Action Hero, been mentioned in a podcast a loooong time ago. Congo, shouldn't be to great a problem and people are mentioning it all the time. The rest could be...
That is the way I use it basically. Well, I set up a position that I think is close to how I stand at a table and what is functional to see as much as possible + easy of doing shots.
I always wanted a few more views to choose from. Now I use 1. for plunger shot (if not necessary I set up an...
This is very interesting! I played it a bit again and just let the return slap back at the left flipper - might need a nudge if it bounces of one of the side bumbers heading towards the outlanes.
Sometimes I just start to wonder if the camera angle affects ball trajectory.... ah, the slippery...
Well, if you don't know it is not starting in Admin mode (it opens up a popup box asking for permission to start).
So now I can only suggest checking that TPA in the options in steam is set for 'overlay' when playing and that steam in general is set to 'on' using overlay.
I haven't gotten...
That Yagov kicker is a breeze :P One doesn't even have to be ready for it, just let it bounce - it never drains.
Now consider when we get ballspinn, that might make the ball go straight down the center drain instead; lets see what the future holds.
Very happy with this table, suits me allot...
