Sorry I couldnt talk to you today. I definitely saw you walking around but I was never able to talk in person.
However, I was able to meet Nightwing in person. He's such an awesome guy! Thanks for hanging out! =D
Surprise pinball livestream tonight! Join me at 6:30 PM EST for a Zen Pinball 2 stream featuring the South Park: Super Sweet Pinball | Secrets of the Deep tables. I'll also be discussing how excited I am for Pintastic, so be sure to join and I'll tell you a ton! :)...
Just wanted to iron out some more details:
I'll be attending the show from about 1:30 to 8:30 on Friday, then I'll leave and get a quick dinner. I'll be wearing my brown *TILT* T-shirt that day, so be sure to look for me - I'll likely be hanging out in the free play area or the tourney area if...
So judging from the live gameplay I saw tonight, I made these observations:
- Layout is pretty much a mirrored Theatre of Magic with the Pym cage replacing the trunk.
- Multiball is really cool - shoot Pym for a Jackpot, and the ball will shrink; then shoot the shrunken ball to the Pym cage for...
Guys. I'm SOOO sorry I haven't been updating this thread. I had a major responsibility to take with this thread and I've been slacking off a lot.
Anyway, I updated the first post, and I'm also going to be to streaming the Captain America and Fantastic Four tables from Zen Pinball 2 tonight at...
Found this interesting article on a pinball fan site that discussed the origins of Red & Ted's Roadshow with Carlene Carter (the voice of Red) herself, along with her current opinions on the machine and her thoughts on pinball in general...
- Above all, soft plunge the ball when the game starts. You don't want to be "rewarded" with 100k points and an instant drain.
- Try and focus on collecting the saucer values and activating multiball. While 100k as a Jackpot may not sound like much, it's easy to relight and it can add up...
Lots of people on Pinside. Kinda confusing :(
Also notable is that this table was one of the first to introduce shot multipliers. Collecting certain parts allows shots to be multiplied in value once they're hit.
I never got why people hate the music for this table. IMO the main theme sounds generic but the themes for other modes such as mini-Multiballs and Catch Me sound amazing. Also, the high score theme is nothing short of brilliant :)
I'd like to add that Zoltan Vari designed this table. He's the biggest example of a mixed bag in Zen Pinball 2: while he designed my least favorite table in the game, V12, he also created the Han Solo and Venom tables, which are at the top of my personal favorites list. We'll just have to see...
1. Is the Sony license still in effect for TPA or were there a certain amount of Sony licensed tables that could be recreated?
2. You mentioned a while ago that standalone versions of the Twilight Zone and Star Trek: The Next Generation tables would be released soon. Are they still coming out...
As many of you know, I'm a sucker for super fast tables with tons of combo shots. I'm also a sucker for tables with tons of toys that fit the theme really well. I'm also a sucker for George Gomez's tables.
