Yep. I'm going there. AGAIN. And on Memorial Day no less.
It's been quite a while since I hung out at Pinball Wizard, so I'm heading back there once more on Memorial Day to play some more pinball, beat some high scores, and generally have a good time. When I come back, I'm going to offer you...
Thanks, MontanaFrank. :)
I noticed that the troll of you has a space in between "Montana" and "Frank", so that'll help you determine whether or not that persons score is real.
So, these are my predictions for Table 39.
- It will be a DMD table, no alphanumeric Gottliebs here. :)
- It could be a cheap-license Stern table (ex. Sharkey's Shootout, Grand Prix)
- It could be a cheap-license Williams table (ex. Corvette, Judge Dredd)
- It could be a Sony-licensed table...
My thoughts:
CastleStorm: I didn't like the Walking Dead table so I wasn't expecting to like this one. While the shots are fun I feel that you can just activate Shades over and over to collect the unbalanced Jackpot values. Nothing new or interesting but still a decent table.
Wild West...
Yep, it's confirmed I am indeed going to be there on Saturday from opening to 7:00. If you see a person wearing a "TILT" T-shirt and a Pinball Arcade cap, that'll be me. :)
There goes that mystery rider again, I can't seem to find him.
So, surprisingly for a late 90s DMD game, this game doesn't have very many rules. There isn't a mode structure of any sort, just some hurry-ups, a video mode, and three Multiballs. The hurry-ups don't score much at all, so the best...
I've never seen 50 million as a Keno award before, but it's listed, so I guess it must be somewhere.
Also, yeah, I forgot to list 5x Bonus. Don't know exactly where it pops up, I think it may be the 5th one instead of Card Added.
Let's just say this table is going to be really frustrating in the TOTM due to how fast it plays on iPad 2.
Even with that flaw, it's still a reasonably fun table. My go-to strategy is to start Multiball, drain a ball, collect the Million Plus shot as soon as possible, and then shoot a ball...
Ok guys, so it turns out, contrary to popular belief, the Keno Arrow Awards are NOT randomized. There is a specific order for them.
This is what I've seen when I played the table on iOS:
1. Card Added
2. 25 million
3. Vortex at Max
4. 25 million
5. Card Added
6. Vortex X
I believe there's...
I never really cared for their music but the toys on this machine look amazing! For a split second in the video they were demonstrating a feature where the ball is magnetized and moves into a small stage.
