I haven't fixed this yet, yes it's a bug to list Frank for these two guys. The list of tables should be the best-scoring tables. I'll fix it for the next list :).
Thank you Tarek, yes I used that very gif to get my first perfect, the last time HD3e was in the tournament. And I got up to having a perfect about 15% of the time, but that's not nearly good enough. I'll work on it again the next time it's in a tourney, or maybe a little sooner...
I've...
I'm #7 on Dracula so it's one of my best tables, but I do have to restart it several times before getting a groove up. But I love the table enough that I don't mind putting in the time... and remembering to loop the ramp every time, all game long, to get those precious extra balls.
My top score is in the top 60 on all tables except...
- #480 Central Park: can't seem to figure it out, maybe it's particularly tough on PC/keyboard. No trouble at all getting all 15 EB's, just can't score.
- #215 Harley: haven't mastered its damn video mode, which is required for good scores...
I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with him or you, just adding... :) Consider the slap save, and related maneuvers that push a flipper sideways, so that the flipper moves under a ball that is moving down the playfield. These are common things that use only gentle nudging, and don't use an object...
Here's a quick line I copied from the TX-Sector Twitch thread, probably of interest to people reading this thread:
"Stern Pinball Arcade is going to release with the standard TPA physics. The 4.0 physics will come later"...
RFM was a negative milestone. I was so depressed in 1999 worrying that it was the future of pinball. Thank God it wasn't, and the greatest tragedy in pinball history is WMS thinking that it would be. And thus ceding pinball to Sega/Stern, and going out of business. (I'm still depressed about...
I like extra playfields; I like BH's a lot, Victory's a little, and the Powerfield is classic.
I still like SC quite a bit in small doses. I don't think anyone has completely figured it out yet, either the regular game or AotV, although I think AotV may require a stuck ball or two to reach the...
"Failsight" needs to give away a real TX-Sector before he even gets started on making up for the negative impact on the TPA community he's had -- his hacked scores, jackassery on the Kickstarter comments pages, and probably more things.
Synchronicity wins as always...
Russell: 36 pts / 11 reb / 11 ast triple-double, in massive 24-point OKC win over GSW to up series lead to 3-1.
Me: 9729M on FT (#11), in massive gain over previous high of 4125M (#29).
Russell's fishing hat: "You're not gonna eat that, are you?"
So I'm watching the pregame show for GSW-OKC, game 4, and Russell W walks in the arena wearing overalls and a goofy hat. One of the TNT hosts says he looks like he just got back from fishing.
Meanwhile, I'm in the middle of a game of Fish Tales.
Synchronicity prediction: OKC moves up to a...
Here's a bit from the r.g.p 1994 rulesheet at http://pinball.org/rules/startrekthenextgeneration.html . Emphasis added. Maybe you can get the EB by playing it really early in the game, I guess by getting 3 Beta ramps ASAP.
There is an extra ball in there too. It has been found that...
WHOA. Now that's a prize! Is it an original translite? Are Tarek or Dizzer or vikingerik playing, or have you got PC all wrapped up? :) I might have to donate to the next KS to get a chance at one.
Hmm, I'm looking at the KS page ->...
