While talking about Physics 3.0, here is a section of the FH .rez that shows some of the code/parameters for live catches:
////////////////////////////////////flippers
Table = PBObject:FlipperRight
EnablePhysics, DownAccel, DeflectionMod, LiveCatch, End,
//min...
But they are "planned," in the way that you mean it.
Here's how it works. In reality, if you flip at 0.2 seconds after the ball starts down the flipper, and later flip 0.201 seconds after, you will get two different results. This can't happen in a digital simulation unless the code has "time...
It might've been, I don't know, but the songs are recorded from a whole bunch of shows from 1991.
Song dates/locations here:

(I don't know if I'm even a casual AC/DC fan... they have a lot of great songs that are...
Yeah, I listened to that one a lot back in 1993... The table has a lot of really popular songs, maybe that's why so expensive license, although the $100k is quite in line with what I would've expected the license to cost.
I copied a PAF post on the previous page:
Here is a PAF post by Farsight employee @Strikezilla01:
There will be a graphical update for Frankenstein and Starship Troopers when the Stern App has officially launched...
No, this is incorrect, as we know Frankenstein and Starship Troopers will be SPA launch tables. (I'm assuming you're using "more recent" to mean "after Ripley's".)
I'm unsure, but I'm leaning toward making this post to say that "redone" might be too strong a term to use. I'm getting concerned that people here are going to expect too much from the existing tables in SPA and Physics 4.0. Here are the relevant official statements I can find in my notes...
Here is an official statement copied from the AC/DC Kickstarter page. It's an open question what "new era" means.
FAQ: Is stern Pinball Arcade going to be a seperate app from Pinball Arcade?
Yes. Some classic Stern Tables will be ported to the new Stern Pinball Arcade, but not the other way...
Farsight said in a Facebook post that SPA tables would be released less frequently than TPA tables:
We will continue to release for Pinball Arcade. Stern releases will be less frequent so we should be able to handle it. [smile emoticon]
No new DE/Sega/Stern tables will be in TPA anymore; LAH...
Thanks for the reminder. I've removed the spoiler tags, since it's not a spoiler any more, and was in fact exactly right as far as the three new tables (AC/DC, Ghostbusters, Star Trek) being the first three new tables officially announced for SPA (and perhaps with the non-new tables, though...
I've been thinking about it. I think it might be a lot of work and so probably not. But anyway, I was trying to think of all the sources of official Farsight/TPA/SPA information, here's the beginning of a list:
- their Facebook page
- Kickstarters
- their posts to PAF
- interviews on...
