I'm not fond of Zen's physics either, but a partnership wouldn't automatically mean that TPA would become Zen-like in that aspect. They both could profit from a broader user base, maybe a bit more crossover between both programs/apps. TPA could profit license-wise and may learn a bit about communication, UI-design and overall customer experience (Zen seems to be the more "professional" of the two in both aspects) and Zen could pick up a thing or two in more realistic physics. What is the quality of the Zen leaderboards?

On the one hand, at least it would make the DE Star Wars machine and Indiana Jones Pinball Adventure more of a possibility. On the other hand, TPA tables would only be available for a little while then go back into the "Disney Vault" for several years.

Disney invented "media manipulation". Besides, do they not own enough of the media? I'm afraid I know the answer.

What if that partnership were with Rupert Murdoch? At least the difficulty would be more "fair and balanced". Bad joke, I know....

No, this is incorrect, as we know Frankenstein and Starship Troopers will be SPA launch tables. (I'm assuming you're using "more recent" to mean "after Ripley's".)

My mistake for not being clear enough.

I meant that of course the old DE/Sega tables can run on SPA--what I was getting at was that games like AC/DC can ONLY run on SPA, not the original Pinball Arcade we've played for the last four years.

I know that Metallica and Kiss(at least the rerecorded stuff that Stern used for kiss) owns their own songs and that is why Stern got a great deal with those bands. But that is hardly the norm

It's a great live album. Good song selection and very good sound. They have some very good live DVDs as well.

The new partner is KitKat. After every ball drained you're forced to take a "KitKat break" and have to scan the unique QR code from the wrapper into the app to continue with the game. Just a reminder, that it's better to buy the KitKats by the case, or on sale in order to save money.

It's a great live album. Good song selection and very good sound. They have some very good live DVDs as well.

It was on constant rotation in my car. Nowadays I just listen to the radio. There is a double-album version that has more tracks on it, I only got the original.

Yeah, I listened to that one a lot back in 1993... The table has a lot of really popular songs, maybe that's why so expensive license, although the $100k is quite in line with what I would've expected the license to cost.

I am only a casual* AC/DC fan at best. You're telling me that was the set list from a concert? That's a show! I'd be exhausted by the end of that.

I stopped being a 'fan' of hard rock in '85 when I discovered Depeche Mode, Oingo Boingo, Devo, and new wave in general. At that time I made no distinction between rock and heavy metal, and instead lumped it all in with glam. Which was pretty narrow minded of me, but I was 13 and knew everything. It wasn't until years later I had any appreciation for hard rock, probably because I hated grunge so much. By the late 90's I was into industrial, NIN was my favorite group, so my ears were open to the sounds of heavier sounds versus electronica. A friend introduced me to Tool, which got me to no longer shun the sounds of traditional rock bands. Playing all the Guitar Hero and Rock Band games only further cemented my appreciation of something like AC/DC. They were now comfort food without having to wave the fan banner.

I have since downloaded some stuff, but I don't actively select it. More of an "oh cool, this song came on in the shuffle!" than anything else. So the fact I can look at that list of songs, realize I know 75% of 'em, and can imagine what that concert would have been like. Put me in a time machine, cuz I wanna buy that ticket!

It might've been, I don't know, but the songs are recorded from a whole bunch of shows from 1991.

(I don't know if I'm even a casual AC/DC fan... they have a lot of great songs that are awesome... in small doses. Kind of like Hendrix for me. I'd probably say that AC/DC and their albums are pretty extremely overrated, but their best songs are underrated. Also, that late-'80s Depeche Mode is great, but you gotta watch the videos while listening. I worship Devo but I don't know about anything after 1982 or so. One of the best live bands ever. Great DVDs. Super fun when they're being transgressive. I might have to give Tool another try sometime but last time I thought they were just silly, like Metallica.)
