Yeah there's a real AFM at a pizza place near me... I played it a few months ago. It wasn't in terrible shape either. It was set to 5 games for 2 bucks so I dropped in the $2 and lasted a good hour or so. Was funny to see the replay score at only one billion... then it increments up a billion...
The most useful nudges are when you know the ball is entering a high-drain situation, like the STDM one on MM when a ball rolls back down the peasant ramp. Soft nudge left or right prevents that almost always. The point is knowing all the situations where you can predict a drain and prevent it...
I'll have to get back to this now that I'm revisiting Season 1 on the PS4.
For some reason I do much better on the older non-dmd pins. I can exploit the hell out of those things. I'm just slightly bummed that my new #1 on BOP got bumped after only like 3 days. The score I beat was there a long...
Good. I've never been really thrilled about pro mode since finding out if you use any pro mode changes at all you are disabled from leaderboards*. But for $5 for all of the season, yes, I'll take that. I would have were it there.
*I once suggested it would be nice if they would allow non-score...
I wish they had the discounted pro one available when I got the regular one. It is only $5 more. That's a steal to get ALL of them in pro version. I didn't even know they were going to allow that for previous non-pro owners (like me). I might have waited.
I was getting it up to 4 EBs, then I would only shoot for the left loop one if I was in danger of running out of them. If I lost just one ball and was down to three, I'd stick with continuing the shuttle ramp shots because I'd get the one from hitting the 600k pinbot value.
Also, to make the...
The "limit" has always been 8. I scored 8 on a real BOP once and I remember being frustrated it wouldn't give me any more but I had no idea there was a limit (nor was I aware of the backdoor billion but that's undoubtedly very difficult on a real machine). It only finally made sense to me all...
Well I wanted to try out the share feature... I quit facebook a long time ago so I started a dummy account just to do this. Really hope they add "share to youtube" sooner rather than later. Anyway, this is the end of my 33B game from the other night. I chopped it down to 5 minutes or so. I had...
It's a very unfortunate carryover of the Vita/PS3 UI. Exactly the same. And the magnitude of how slow it is grows with each table they add to the game.
It should be as fast as their website: http://www.pinballarcade.com/Leaderboards/
Pretty sure that's true because in the first couple months after the release there were lots of mobile scores higher than anyone on a console was getting and I'm pretty sure I've read confirmation of that from one or two people in this forum.
When I finally did get that 9th billion shot lit on...
If you play for endless multiballs / big wheels (staying stocked with EBs along the way) by mastering the main ramp and being able to hit the heart ramp consistently from both sides (but especially the left flipper) it becomes pointless to nudge for free skill shots... you're going to get plenty...
So, just confirmed that on the PS4 version you are not limited to registering up to 10b only. This was an issue previously with the PS3 version I had understood. The local high scores won't reflect it, but the leaderboard will!
Here's something else I can confirm after a marathon game that...
And you lost. Heh.
I just tried 3D ZP2 on the PS4 last night. The 3D effect is indeed quite cool... not enough to make me get into ZP though. The ball physics are inferior to TPA and I prefer the "real" experience over the fantasy style of Zen, but I do understand completely why a lot of people...
Far too laggy for serious gaming, absolutely. There's really no margin of acceptability for lag when it comes to this game. It's only a little but it makes you feel totally disconnected when you flip a trapped ball and the shots are far, FAR too late every time.
I'm not extremely hopeful the...
Off topic, but I still can't figure out what the hell your avatar is...
It sort of looks like Picasso painted Batman and stuck one of Sonic's eyes on his face for good measure.
Not new. The PS3 version always called you "Biff" but only because the ROM is always in the same predefined state. If you play more games in succession, you'll hear all the other names, including "Chucky".
They definitely have NOT added the missing sounds from BK.
Yeah I have the One also... and I'm going to need to put a macro in it for that too. My new TV's Game mode setting is buried in the system menu and even on the Harmony command set there is no discrete button to toggle it on/off directly (which really sucks!). I may just need to make a macro that...
I had lag too. I have a brand new Samsung 7100 TV, so I can't really compare to the PS3 version... but anyway, as was said, if your TV has a "Game mode", turn it on. For me, this immediately fixed the lag and I was able to line up shots and get in the groove quickly after that.
Here's my VITA...
