Cyclone. Back when I lived in the mountains, a laundromat had this game and I completely owned the high score table (can't remember what the scores were.)
Comet is obviously well known to be the first "million point shot" game, and it was awesome at the time...
Hurricane, I can't vote on...
Haha good... when I put that bogus score on there, I had figured the boards were about to be reset. Glad they are now.
(points to legit Gorgar score...heh)
I definitely have trouble with this (PS3 version)
The only shots I can hit with any consistency are the left ramp and the bazaar/wish. Those left and right loop shots are a PAIN, ESPECIALLY the right one. (and that's where the extra ball is, too.)
The "sweet spot" seems to be SO elusive.
It's...
Yes, the visuals are muddled on BK and as already pointed out with screenshots, graphical glitches I'm going to call "Black Blooming" (that one on the right lower playfield even covers up part of the "Magna Save" emblem...)
Yes to the upper play field lock problem... additionally, when two...
Heh, speaking as the "#2 ridiculous scorer", you're right, it's BS. Someone must have just posted that 99 billion yesterday or today.
The thing about the Frankenstein glitch is... everyone says you get a jackpot when you nudge... but it's even worse than that. All you have to do is trap two...
Noticed that ALL of the top 100 scores are mobile (probably more, didn't look beyond 100), and there are some ridiculous scores on the leaderboard now.
As someone who has reached the top 10 a few times myself (just took #1 on Gorgar), I can appreciate that seemingly ridiculous scores are...
I remember seeing the table as a kid and wondering, "what's going on behind the (20K) bonus light? Is he reaching in to pull out Gorgar's intestines??"... then I'd almost get queasy.
#1 can be hit from a right trap if shot right, and from the left trap it's not difficult to get it to the vicinity of the other three... it's just that often, it seems I'll hit a spot between them and not register a hit at all. Overall, yeah, difficult to hit any of them with a deliberate shot...
Oh definitely... but then again, the table as a whole is going to get boring pretty quickly anyway, since all you have is: 1) 1,2,3,4 targets, 2) Gor-Gar drop targets, 3) the snake pit target, and 4) Spinner/ABC rollovers... and it's all just simple point scoring, wth extra ball and a special...
It resets when you collect the extra ball, yes. But the strategy is to not let the extra ball get lit. Leave it at 15k and fire away at it. It's unlimited.
PS3.
There's a little lip that the ball should roll off of, after it comes out the eject hole. Most of the time, the ball will come across to the right flipper and leaving the flipper down, it will bounce over to the left one.
I'll hedge back on the "99%" claim... sometimes it comes down...
THIS!
This is easily the best and safest way to rack up points and you can do this in an endless loop when you get good at the shot. I just discovered this today. The 15K stays lit and you can score it unlimited times.
- Complete GOR-GAR twice to light 15,000 on the eject hole (A third time...
