I survived the Great Storm of 1987. I honestly don't remember much about it except watching the news next day, and the town of Sevenoaks in Kent thinking of having to change its name to Oneoak.
Here in south-central Pennsylvania we don't get crazy weather.* We also have underground power...
Yeah, pretty steep. More than the new Timeshock, and I haven't bought that yet. With Ghostbusters coming soon this is at best #3 on my Digital Pinball priority list. There might even be Zen tables that are higher.
The HH Reskin GB was removed a long time ago, for reasons unknown.
I just think this is a screw-up with the SPA GB file somehow getting mixed in to the TPA files.
Unfortunately this kind of thing doesn't surprise me any more :(
Yeah I'm liking the Spirit idea. There's a lot of yellow on the table (all the drop targets, for a start). I'd be okay with that. Nothing special but a lot better than some of the other crazy alternatives being thrown around.
Also I think the use of the Ghostbusters ghost is just a nod to GB...
There was something I really felt I wanted to comment on while I was listening to the podcast yesterday, but screw it if I haven't forgotten what it was now.
Well apart from the recent XBOX and PS4 releases of Ghostbusters (and the LE packs) that's been announced on Facebook, and now in the newsletter? (And also in the Facebook post, an acknowledgement by FS that the PC release would be next.)
What, exactly, did you or anyone expect to happen with...
Once again, after attending a show and playing a real one, I really really need Ghostbusters. Almost enough to blow $8k of my savings to get one in my basement... but I'd rather only lay out $10.
There was some good stuff, but prices are going crazy. $2k+ for a decent condition early-80s SS, and some good condition EMs going for $1500+. (I'd never buy a multiplayer EM; I've seen the mess of cables inside those backboxes, not going there.)
Getting to the point where I am seriously...
Well it definitely won't be TFtC since that's part of the DE/Sega/Stern family and it's been categorically stated that all those tables will be exclusively part of SPA going forward, and won't be in TPA.
Meh on Freddy, mainly because not really played it.
I believe our friend the leaker...
"It looks like you're going to play some pinball! Would you like help with that?"
First. Thing. I. Turned. Off.
Also I wholeheartedly agree that sticking access to all your currently owned tables in a nondescript box in the bottom left corner is not exactly a winner.

I'll always maintain that a ZZ Top pin in their mid-80s Eliminator-era chrome style would look great. It'd also automatically have the best soundtrack of any pin ever made, well, I'll reserve judgment until I get wind of the Iron Maiden tunes. But - there will be a riot if Hallowed Be Thy Name...
If you want the big color DMD (and you want the big color DMD), it'll set you back $8k. Still a grand cheaper than an entry-level Dialed In! I still want my Ghostbusters Premium for the basement....
Yep. Darn caught out ;)
Decent selection, plenty of new tables including Star Wars (Pro and Premium... neither of which did much for me), Dialed In (finally got to play it), and Total Nuclear Annihilation, which had long lines all day but is a very simple table that looks fun to play.
Also...
So far waited 20 minutes to get on Dialed In, which was one guy playing his last ball! So my first ever game I score 1M+ and somehow get 4 EBs?! Set up easy or what.
Not impressed with Star Wars, gotta say.
