I want it. It's as much an upgrade over Pin*Bot as Getaway is over High Speed. Totally worth having and playing.
Speaking of Getaway, it won't be #36 adjacent to TAF, they wouldn't want to burn their two best Williams DMDs right at the same time. Getaway makes more sense to close season 4 or...
Goin Nuts is actually the easiest, with no outlanes at all. AFM merely feels like it doesn't have outlanes.
Cactus Canyon is missing from the list, specifically Showdown multiball with unlimited add-a-ball from the drop targets. Gold Mine is pretty easy too, at least on platforms (PC) that...
CFTBL is the easiest multiball to maintain. You just hold one on the left flipper forever while making all the whirlpool and jackpot shots with the right flipper. Every shot feeds back to that flipper and every shot is easy to hit on the fly from it.
If you're flailing, yes you'll lose the...
Yup, that's exactly how I've done the red targets. Makes the game insanely easy compared to the real machine, where there's a very short (~8 second) timer to complete them after hitting the first one. And of course you get an EB every six times, or even two EBs if you either didn't hold bonus...
I actually saw that same extra ball glitch (ball-in-play counter rolls backwards an extra time) on FIREPOWER, which is also scripted. Whatever the bug is probably applies to the same scripting framework used for both tables.
Genie's scripting seems solid other than that, or at least nobody's...
Getaway won't be as soon as #36, it'll be later in the season. Because of TAF's proximity as another Williams from just about the same time. They'd want to space out their two best available Williams DMD bullets. I think Getaway would make perfect sense as the season 5 opener actually...
This is normal. The shield timer gets faster and faster with each jackpot during a Borg multiball. After about 20 jackpots, it times out almost instantly like you saw. There is still a grace period of about two seconds after the verbal warning, so it's always still possible to get a second...
I say Dr. Dude. It's close between that and 1812, but Dude's stands out more since it's so necessary for scoring on that table. 1812 you don't need multiball, just keep shooting the ramps in single ball play for high scores.
I don't get this? 1) once you nail down that re-entry shot back...
Centaur had an autoplunger much earlier, although it was that weird dual level with separate plunger lanes and mechanisms for auto and manual.
Yeah manual plungers were just the way things were always done through the 80s until T2. It's overlooked but T2 actually makes great use of its...
I played Space Jam a fair bit back in the day, though haven't for at least 10 years now. I liked it quite a bit. The ruleset worked well and could pass for a 90's Williams. It does rip off the "complete all the shots for wizard mode" style but hey that's a perfectly fine thing to rip off...
Tristan wasn't a recreation of anything, it was an original table.
A real manufacturer would have known not to put that jackpot lane where it's literally unshootable.
This is quite typical for iPad games. The 3 has the Retina display with 4x the pixels to push, but nowhere near 4x the CPU or GPU power.
Timeshock? It's The Web that resembles STTNG much more. It copies almost the entire layout (mirrored) with the same deal that almost every shot feeds the...
Theatre of Magic also lets you sneak into a ball lock before it's lit.
TOTAN does it weirdly. The ball can fall into the lock before it's lit, but just gets ejected. But there is a sneak-in for the Harem. But Harem Multiball doesn't operate on ball locks. But three sneak-ins gets you Harem...
Any chance you could split the difference, and give both players credit for the #1 position in cases where the authenticity is questionable but not disprovable, or platform dependent? That might be the fairest method.
Zaphod, that's the best post I've ever seen on these forums. Should be required reading for every newcomer.
About TPA tables intentionally directing rebounds towards a drain... is that based on beta testing or other actual insider info, or is it a calculated hunch?
Funhouse's multiball is kind of designed to do that. One ball comes from Rudy's mouth, and the other two from the hallway where you're probably going to hit Rudy with them too (especially on TPA where the trap door shot has wonky physics.) With all those balls coming from Rudy's area, some...
Sure you can. From the lower level eject, you can always dead pass from the leftmost flipper to a catch on the rightmost. Then the center Secret Passage target is a fairly easy shot from there. Not as easy as Black Hole, but that's still the safest method to grind points.
