Just got the same BSOD when tapping on a table (I forget which one) to start it, except the file (line 2 of the BSOD) is now different:
File: /Users/andrewaernst/Perforce/Projects (and that's all I can read with my portrait screen shot)
Still line 804, though.
I just installed ZP on miPhone5, and have to say the iPad blows it out of the water! The taller aspect ratio of the iPhone5 really messes up cameras 1-3 in portrait, huh? (Can't see outlanes, which is pretty much unacceptable for Devil Riders and Farfalla's "last chance" flippers.) I played...
I've been running (25,0,33,100,0) for the last hour on all tables and am happy with the way the ball's handling (as happy as I can be without a tap nudge, that is ;^) And the physics settings seems to behave the same on all tables for me.
Once I get the tables down I'll probably speed it up by...
Just found another bug with the physics settings, I think. You've got three switch settings -- Arcade, Simulation, and Custom. If you're on the Arcade or Simulation switch setting, you can change any of the sliders, but I don't think they have any effect on gameplay. When on the Custom switch...
Bug: Custom physics settings easily lost
If you enable custom physics settings via the Game Mode switch (Arcade/Simulation/Custom), and then switch away from Custom to either Arcade or Simulation, a subsequent return to Custom loses all previous values - they are reset to the Simulation settings.
Let's hope the Playfield Degree setting isn't supposed to be real, as its allowed values are 0 (totally flat) to 100 (tipped 10 degrees forward past vertical)! :^O
I just played both of these settings and 0 still has the ball heading towards the flippers, albeit at a much slower acceleration...
Re: your 3-ball strategy; I'm gonna try that! Can't tell you how many times I've racked up several bonus sets on balls 1-3 (at 1000 per) only to bomb 4 and/or 5!
Re: Arcade heaven; +1 - perfect description of Big Shot's sounds.
Thanks for your input, tripleplonq - after reading your post and conducting substantial experimentation, I've come to the following conclusions, which seem to be somewhat reversed from yours:
Camera Slide controls transition speed between Top and Lower views. Down = very fast, Up = slow.
Dead...
Given Zsolt's active presence here and his willingness and ability to improve ZP, I went all in with Gold, and am mostly enjoying the tables so far.
It's fun figuring out what all these environmental (lighting, physics, et. al.) options are about, but I just can't figure out what Camera Slide...
New bug, or normal? The "last chance" flippers only work once per ball. I saved a left outlane drain via that flipper, but sent the ball down the same left outlane twenty seconds later, at which time the "save me" flipper was dead. Is this supposed to happen?
"Invert Nudge" reverses the direction the table is pushed when you nudge left/right - try it both ways and stick with whichever one feels better.
See http://digitalpinballfans.com/showthread.php/4315-Phew-Nudging for more iOS nudging discussion...
I'm a touch nudger - shake is too imprecise...
