There's a couple of things to consider and take note of.
1. Single player should offer up a similar experience to TPA. The flipper angles are the same, the ball is more predictable.
2. Classic single player, where the option to play 'arcade' or 'tournament' is, is an experience much closer...
Damn Pete, that's some serious hate you have there for Zen! I mean that's some Grade A vitriol you got right there.
So first off, Zen didn't sucker punch FarSight. Scientific Games actually approached Zen a few years back, but they were neck deep in licenses like Portal, South Park, and Fox and...
Yeah, I don't nearly have a grasp on A-Force like I do on Champions:
1. AcaDude 277 million
2. zmcvay 263 million
3. Klausinator 250 million
4. jwillan 126 million
5. XAF//SMerrell 115 million
Just to be mean, nasty, and spiteful, this week's table is Party Zone with tournament settings...
Well Sophie was in Apocalypse, so I'm not too thrown by it. If anything it's Jennifer Lawrence that's the distraction, especially since I can't see her ever becoming Rebecca Romijn and her blue is no longer shiny!
The only reason I can now watch Last Stand is to laugh at it being all retconned...
I don't think Zen is going to get cutesy with their pack releases. Otherwise we'd probably have seen Safe Cracker, No Good Gofers, and Roadshow all together as a Pat Lawlor pack.
When it comes to SS/Alpha Numerics, there are a few repeats that I'd want sooner than later
Whirlwind
Centaur
F-14...
Correct. When FarSight was negotiating for the use of The Terminator, another game company had just bought the rights. A special deal had to be worked out proving that digital pinball was not going to compete with whatever game they had planned, and that FarSight would not have to pay the same...
It didn’t in terms of FarSight knowing anything. They were very surprised by the loss of the license, something we deduced and then confirmed was in the works a solid year prior, possibly two. Scientific Games approached Zen and never let on to FarSight. These past 11 months have been FarSight...
Exclusive rights would have only been for a short term. Now if this new mystery table FarSight is indeed working on turns out to be the 3rd Elvira table, that would preclude Zen from doing the other two for a period of time (probably a year, no more than 2).
I hadn't realized that CCC was essentially freeware until I looked it up myself a few days ago. You are absolutely right that the original author should see some compensation for his stellar work. As for the grey area, Zen has said they wouldn't change any rules for the tables. I suspect so long...
Why do you say that? There's absolutely no reason to think Zen wouldn't do these. The priority is DMD to cater to better sales (as FarSight admitted to) and ease the Zen Pinball crowd into playing real tables. Give 'em time, they'll get to them.
Wait, so the new Elvira isn’t new at all in terms of layout? If it is just another reskin of Nellie, that’s super lame. And if that is indeed what FarSight puts out as a ‘new’ table, that’s even more lame. Why not put out Primus and Pabst while they’re at it and call it 3 new tables? Really hope...
It's when the horizon line of a shot is set to an angle of 15 degrees or more. Comic book panels use it a lot which is why it became the go to look for such films, but it has been and continues to be used in all manner of film.
I get your trepidation. Zen had 2 main concerns before releasing Volume 1; would this here forum’s audience be willing to double dip on tables they already own, and would the Zen audience have any interest in real table recreations.
If you had taken a look at Zen’s Facebook page after the...
My high school graduation was the same night that Dick Tracy was having it’s midnight release on (remember when they wouldn’t release on a Thursday, so it’d be 12:01 instead?), so after my party a group of friends went to see it. We were so hoping for another Batman experience, but man what a...
It's not a question of how long Zen has the license for, it's how quickly can they get a return on investment, thus maximizing profits.
I'll show how this works in a completely different scenario...the custom car world.
If you watch any of these shows on TV, there are 2 basic approaches; one...
Bowen makes it look easy, but if it were then everyone would be doing it! I've pulled some off in FX3 using the pro physics, but it's tough. Practice on Fish Tales when launching the ball. Hold that left flipper up, and then experiment with your timing to do the live catch. I've found you have...
Why Safe Cracker? Because Thomas at Zen is a big fan, because there's only 19 unlicensed DMD machines to choose from, and we'll have all of them (presumably) by August. Oh, and TPA did all 19 of those tables already.
I'll just repeat myself in various threads to help manage people's...
